Guidelines for Submissions

• The Mystic Muse hosts fan fiction of all genres (except ficlets and drabbles).

• All pairings are welcome. No pairings are welcome, too.

• G to NC-17 and beyond accepted. All fiction should have rating disclaimers, especially warnings for those involving extreme sex and violence.

• Stories must be original and must include disclaimers acknowledging the owners of the fandom borrowed. Disclaimers should state that neither the author nor this site receives any compensation for the stories appearing within.

• No explicit stories featuring underage children.

• All stories should be edited, proofread, and spell checked before submission. While no one is perfect, one of the purposes of writing fan fiction should be to improve your writing skills, so an honest effort will be appreciated, but sloppy work will be rejected. Read the Hints for Authors to improve your chances of getting accepted.

• Stories should include the following at the beginning of the document:

• Story Title

• Author's Pen Name

• Rating

• Disclaimer

• Distribution (other than here)

• Spoilers

• Feedback (Y/N)

• Pairing (if any)

• Author's Notes

• Summary

• The owner of the Mystic Muse reserves the right to refuse any story submitted. However, I'm easy, so give it a shot.

• To submit your story, type it in a word processor document, save it in the appropriate file format with an appropriate filename, and then attach the document to an email addressed to Susan Carr with "Mystic Muse Fiction Submission" as the subject. (Or click on the above link.) Acceptable File Formats are Word Format (.doc, .docx), Rich Text Format (.rtf), or Plain Text Format (.txt). Save your document with a filename that incorporates both your story title and your pen name. Include book and chapter/part if necessary. Example: PowerOfThreeBk2Pt16ByDragonWriter17.rtf
