Summary: Buffy and Faith deal with life together.

Faith woke up first. Being in prison for as long as she had been, had conditioned her to rise early. Before sunrise. Only now there were no buzzers or clicked on lights to wake her. Just like in prison, she always woke even before the sirens that told the prisoners to get out of their bunks and down to the cafeteria for breakfast.

After only two months in jail, her own internal clock had taken over and she awoke promptly at 5:55 a.m. every morning. The alarms rang at 6:00, and that had given her enough time to crawl out of bed, stretch and wait for the cell door to open. She always got to the front of the cafeteria line that way. After all, a Slayer has a heck of an appetite.

But this morning when she woke up, something was different. She was still trying to clear the fuzz from her head and then things started to clear. First off, the bed was too soft. Much too soft to be her prison bunk. Also something else...oh...someone else. She realized that fact when she felt the movement of the other body against hers, and the softly whispered "Mmmm."

Faith shot up to a sitting position and looked to her right. Buffy? She...I thought...

Then she remembered...last night...oh wow. Faith smiled, finally remembering her encounter with the lovely blonde that lay, still asleep, at her side. Then her smile became a huge grin as she settle back down to lie next to Buffy, softly enough to make sure she wouldn't wake her girlfriend.

My girlfriend? She asked herself as she gently slid her arm around Buffy, nuzzling and smelling the faint scent of whatever shampoo Buffy used still lingering in her lovely blonde tresses.

I'm awake, she thought. But, I'm not going anywhere. Why would I?

Nope, not goin' anywhere. Hell, why would I? Ok, normally I would be incredibly bored just sitting in bed after I woke up. But, normally, I would have this sweet little prize to admire and snuggle with. Also, I'm wicked hungry.

But, seriously now, what am I hungrier for, some Pop-Tarts, or my girl?

My girl...oh wow she's my girl again! I've got this big goofy grin on my face that I would really try to hide if anyone were to see me now. But I'm so happy. I lean down and place a slight kiss on her forehead, bringing a slight moan and a smile from my sleeping sweetie.

I sit for a while, just watching her. Waiting for her to wake up.

The sunshine is streaming in through the window of B's bedroom, now. I look over at the clock to see just how long I've been lying here and admiring my lover.

7:40 a.m.

Wow, I've been here that long? I look down at her again.

Last night you told me you loved me, B. I didn't think it was possible, but you do. I can't wait for you to wake up, just so I can say it back. But, I'll wait here snuggling with you until you finally wake up. I just can't leave you. Not even for a second.

Oh, wait. You're starting to wake up.

Buffy's eyes fluttered and finally opened. The first thing she saw was Faith's face, smiling at her. Something that was out of character for the Dark Slayer was the big grin. But, she knew why the grin was on her pretty face.

Last night. It was amazing.

Buffy took a deep breath and yawned before looking back into her lover's eyes.

"Hey, baby..." Buffy said.

"Hey yourself." The younger girl answered.

Buffy smiled, contentedly as she pulled Faith closer into a soft kiss that felt like it would never end. They pulled back from each other, and just lay there. Memorizing each other, not wanting the moment to end.

"You want breakfast?" Buffy finally broke the silence.

"Oh yeah, I'm starved."

Buffy batted her eyelashes seductively. "Well...what do you wanna eat?"

Faith licked her lips, smiling. "Well, I was kinda thinking eggs, toast, and sausage..." She hesitated and gave Buffy a wicked grin. "But that's the main course. Not the appetizer..."

"Appetizer?"

"Oh yeah...for the appetizer, I was thinking several helpings of blonde sweetness." With that she leaned forward and pressed her lips against Buffy's. This kiss was filled with much more passion than the one they had just shared.

Buffy pressed herself against her lover, opening her thighs to allow Faith the entrance that her body had been insisting. Faith moved on top of Buffy and the blonde wrapped her legs and arms around her lover, as their kiss deepened.

Oh, Faith. You're really here, and you're kissing me.

You're so close to me, on top of me. I wrap my arms and legs around you to bring you closer to me. There it is. You're pressed against me so tightly that I can't tell where you end and I begin. Your hips are grinding forward against me and it feels so incredible.

You want me; you REALLY want me.

You're kissing down my neck toward my navel. Oh yeah...my belly button is my hot spot. You remember that don't you? Of course you do. That's why you're doing this.

I feel your tongue swirling around my navel, sending shivers straight down to my crotch. I'm so wet, just from the close proximity between us...and because you're touching my sweetest space. Just at the top of my right thigh...oh yesssss.

Please, baby. Just take me.

Faith used her tongue to trace a line across Buffy's thighs toward her center and into her closely trimmed curls. Then she kissed just above Buffy's center before heading downward to the ultimate prize.

Buffy's body arched in pleasure as Faith's tongue filled her for the second time within the last day. Faith knew all of her sweet spots and just how to bring them to their maximum.

Faith had learned those spots during those 23 days that they had spent together, years ago. They had been together the first night that Faith had kissed Buffy. Kissed her after weeks of wanting and not having. But one night, it had overwhelmed her and she pressed her lips against the blonde Slayer, not knowing what would result.

The result was a whirlwind of fire and eroticism, which lasted for just over 3 weeks and ended with Faith's spiral toward the dark side. She had broken Buffy's heart. Now she totally intended to make up for it.

I'm gonna do it right this time, B. Faith thought as she moved her tongue in just the right rhythm to bring her lover to the highest level of arousal.

She felt Buffy's hips buck at her every movement slowly building her stimulation toward it's climax.

Climax. It wasn't far off. Faith could feel her lover's building excitement coming toward its conclusion. The conclusion that came with a hearty gasp and groan.

"Oh Faith...I'm coming..." Faith wrapped her arms firmly around the blonde's thighs so that her gyrations would not separate her mouth from Buffy's sweetness.

As Buffy's orgasm finally subsided she spoke with breathless satisfaction. "Faith...oh yeah...that was...can I?"

Can you? Can you what baby? What are you asking me? I wanna hear you say it. I'm so turned on that I'm willing to take anything you can give me. But, I wanna hear you talk dirty to me.

"Tell me..." I say grinning up at you. "I want you to say it."

You look down at me, with longing in your eyes. "I want to taste you..."

Ok, not quite as dirty as I would have liked. But, you know what? I'm so willing. I have this shit-eating grin on my face as I switch positions with you. Now I'm on the bottom with my legs wrapped around you, and you're kissing my breasts. Oh yeah, the left nipple...the left one. That's a good place. C'mon, B. You're wasting time. I want to feel your mouth on me. I'm not much for foreplay.

Down...down...down...there you are. Oh yes. This is the first time you've tasted me in years.

Oh wow, you haven't forgotten have you? I feel your tongue moving from bottom to front, tasting my juices. It's as if you can't get enough of me, and it's fantastic. I love the way you touch me. The way you've always touched me, both in my heart and on my body.

Oh shit, this is it...its...its coming. Oh yeah, baby. I love you.

Faith's hips bucked violently against Buffy's face. Her orgasm flooding her body with wracking spasms and warmth.

"I love you, B." Faith said as the spasms finally subsided.

Buffy was on top of her again, by that time. Looking down at her with the cutest grin. She leaned forward for a long kiss, letting them both taste themselves on each other's lips.

When Buffy finally pulled away, she said. "No Faith...We love each other. We NEED each other."

Faith grinned. "Oh yeah."

They held each other, kissing and lightly stroking, until they both finally gave up to hunger.

"So, you want that that breakfast?" Faith asked.

"Sounds good."

Buffy stood and began pulling her clothes on, winking at Faith as she pulled up her lace panties.

"You know, we're gonna have to tell everyone else." Faith finally said, looking down. "About us."

Buffy smiled. "Yeah I know."

"Not all of them are gonna approve of you and me, you know?" Faith was reluctantly pulling on her jeans.

Buffy moved forward, cupping Faith's face in both her hands. "Look, it doesn't matter what they think, ok?"

Buffy kissed her lover. "I love you, Faith. I need you."

Faith kissed her back, feeling everything that she had ever wanted within her arms.

"I need you, too." She answered. "So much that it scares me."

Buffy smiled. "So then, let's tell everyone...Damn what they think."

Faith smiled as Buffy took her hand and led her downstairs.

Part 2-Telling The Gang

"Un-Frickin-Believable." Xander said as he paced back and forth. "Buffy, you do realize that's Faith, right?" motioning toward the dark Slayer.

Buffy and Faith stood side-by-side leaning with their backs to the counter. Faith rolled her eyes.

"Duh. Yes Xander I know who it is."

"The girl who tried to kill at least three people in this room! Come on, doesn't anyone else have a problem with this?" he looked to his friends for a little backup.

They were all in the Summers kitchen. Giles just sat there cleaning his glasses, trying not to make eye contact with anyone.

"Oh c'mon, give it a rest, Xander." Willow said. She was seated at the kitchen table next to Kennedy. "If I can forgive Faith, why can't you? I, for one, am happy for you guys."

"Thanks, Wil." Buffy said. Faith just gave the wiccan a smile and a wink.

"Me too." Dawn said. She walked over to Faith and gave her a hug. "I always thought you were so much cooler than Buffy, way back then. Before the whole evil gig, that is. Maybe now that you guys are an item, you can give her pointers in coolness."

"Thanks runt." Faith answered.

"Hey!" Buffy exclaimed. "Dawn , you were twelve. You even thought curly fries were cooler than me, at the time."

"Who says I still don't?" Dawn winked then gave her sister a playful grin.

"Uh hello, change of subject here!" Xander said. Everyone turned to look at him. Well, everyone else was looking, but at this point Buffy was glaring. "Look all I'm saying is that here's a girl who has super strength, and a history of going off the deep end. I know she's all goody good now, but what happens the next time she goes flies off the handle? Hopefully Buffy can handle her the next time she decides to choke the life out of somebody right after boning them!"

Buffy was seething; she clenched her fists and moved forward but felt Faith's hand on her arm stopping her.

"Don't baby. I can handle this." Faith moved forward until she was face to face with Xander. "Look, I don't blame you for feeling that way Xan, and there's no way I can force you to believe that I'm really sorry about all that stuff. But hey I could give a flying fuck what you think of me. Matter of fact, there's only one person in the whole world whose opinion matters to me right now, and she believes in me." She smiled back at Buffy who blushed slightly.

"Hmmph..." Xander exhaled. "Whatever you say, Psycho-Supergirl." Then he turned to walk out. He stopped in his tracks when Buffy called out to him.

"You know something Xander?" she called. "I just figured something out that I should have seen a long time ago. The only person I've ever been with who you didn't hate was Riley. Now I finally know why that is."

"Why's that?" He still hadn't turned around to face her.

"Because he was normal. He didn't have any super powers, he wasn't a vampire, he was just Joe Normal. That way he wasn't as much competition for you."

Now he turned around. "What?"

Buffy walked slowly toward him as she spoke, all eyes on her. "Didn't you think I'd figure it out Harris? I mean it's no secret that you hated Angel, just because he had me and you didn't. You've felt like you were in competition with every person that I've been with since, because in the back of your little head you couldn't shake the thought that one day I'd come running to you. Well get over it Xander."

Everyone was speechless: the Scoobies, the Potentials, everyone. Xander lowered his eyes so he didn't have to meet Buffy's gaze, and she knew she'd hurt him. But she also knew that she was right, and these things needed to be said.

"Xander," she said, still fuming "there is a part of you that's the most loyal friend that anyone could have. But there's also a part of you that's always been incredibly selfish when it comes to me and my relationships. So, I'll make you a deal, "Mister I make all my moral decisions with my wee-wee". From this point on, I don't want to hear one negative thing about me and Faith, not one. Then in return I won't hafta break your nose, ok?"

"Fine." Xander said, anger still in his eyes. "But don't expect me to be ok with it." With that he turned and walked out. In a few seconds everyone heard the front door close.

Faith couldn't help but think back to a time just under 3 years ago when Angel and Buffy had a similar confrontation. Only at the time it was Buffy that was pissed at her. Wow, time sure changes alot.

They all sat in silence for a few moments, until finally Willow spoke. "Gee...that went well."

Faith went to Buffy and put her arms around her. "Don't worry, B. He'll come around."

"Er, um..." It was the first time that Giles had spoken since the two Slayers had made the announcement that they were, indeed together. "Though I may disagree with Xander's motivation and methods, I can't say that I totally disagree with his objection."

"Look, G-man..." Faith started to make her case for her former Watcher.

"It's not because of you, Faith." He cut her off. "I've spoken to Angel extensively over the past years about the progress you've made, and I must say that I'm very happy about it. I do trust you."

"Thanks, G." Faith smiled and relaxed into Buffy's shoulder, her arms still wrapped around Buffy's waist. They're so cute together, Willow thought.

Meanwhile, Andrew thought 'Wow, two Slayers in love...this is gonna make a great bit for the documentary'.

"I also feel that your feelings for each other are genuine. That's what frightens me the most." Giles continued.

"How so?" Buffy asked.

"Well, considering what we are up against now. The First, the Bringers, not to mention there is still the normal, if not greater amount of vampire activity. If the forces that we are facing found out your feelings for each other, they could turn them to their advantage. You are the Slayers, both of you. I can't help but think that you could be taking a risk starting a relationship at this point in time."

"Well there's an easy way to avoid that." Faith told him. "We just don't tell anyone else about us, for the time being. Till this shit blows over, ya know."

"Sounds viable." Buffy agreed. "So that's it. Nobody outside this room knows about us." She addressed the group. "You cool with that guys? Willow, Dawn, Andrew, girls..."

"Don't forget me." A familiar British accent sounded through the room. Everyone looked up.

"Spike?" Buffy said.

"Who the hell else?" he grinned, standing in the doorway to the basement.

"You heard...everything?"

"Don't be daft Summers. It may be cold and dark in your basement, but sound still carries. Plus, ya know, vampire hearing." He accented his last sentence by pointing to his ear.

"Shoulda figured. So you ok with it or what, Blondie?" Faith asked the vampire.

"Sure. What the hell." Spike shrugged, like it was no big deal. "You two wanna go makin' with the smoochies then go ahead. Fine by me, be off with you." He made a shooing motion with his hand as he turned and walked back into the basement.

"Cool, thanks for the permission!" Faith beamed, grabbing her girlfriend by the hand and beginning to drag her up the stairs.

Buffy resisted. "Faith...no...not now, baby. Faith...come on." But Faith was persistent and finally dragged the smaller Slayer up the stairs. A few moments later everyone heard a door slam.

"Right, then." Giles stammered, removing his eyewear and proceeding to make them the cleanest glasses in the world. He quickly exited the room.

After that, everyone pretty much resumed their normal morning activities. Breakfast, bathroom, the usual.

"Um, I have a question." Molly finally said, looking up from her bowl of cereal.

"What's that?" Willow answered.

"Well it's just that they're supposed to be teaching us what to do with this whole Slayer thing, right? So...does that mean we hafta...couple up?" She asked innocently.

Willow spit her cereal, Kennedy laughed her ass off, and the other Potentials took turns smacking Molly on the back of the head.

Buffy was lying back on her bed, Faith atop her. Surprisingly enough, they were both still fully clothed. They kissed tenderly, eagerly exploring the other's mouth.

The tiny blonde placed both hands on the sides of her lover's face, drinking in her presence.

"I can't believe you still want it." Buffy smiled. "After this morning...I mean, we just did..."

"Shh. It's not about sex right now, B. It's about you and me. We'll have the nasty type of fun later." She said with a wicked grin. Faith was chewing her bottom lip in that oh so sexy way that just made Buffy melt.

Buffy brought her close, to kiss her again.

Part 3

"Hey, anyone home down there?" Faith called as she poked her head into the basement. She took a tentative step down the first few steps, listening for a response.

"Oh bollocks." Spike whispered under his breath. Just the person I want to see right now. "Come on down."

Hearing that, Faith walked down the rest of the steps and into the basement. Looking around, finally she saw Spike sitting on the floor. His back was too the wall and the side of his head rested on his fist, in a pose that made him look totally bored.

"You a big fan of concrete?" She asked. "Thought you had a...bed." Her eyes fell upon the broken pieces of wood and torn cloth that once made up the cot that Spike had been sleeping on.

"Wow, did you have a 'break some shit' party? Kinda wish you'd invited me, cause I'm totally into that if you hadn't heard."

"Got kinda bored." Spike answered, noncommittally. "What brings you down to my little slice of heaven?"

Faith shrugged. "Came down to see if you wanted to share a smoke. B, gets pissed at me when I wanna smoke upstairs."

Spike gave a slight smirk. "Yeah, she is a little ponce about that, isn't she?"

"Yeah well, whatcha gonna do?" She said, breaking out her pack then drawing out two cigarettes and her lighter. Then she handed one to Spike.

Hell, he thought. Might as well talk to her.

After they had both lit up Faith sat down on the floor beside him. They sat in an uncomfortable silence for a while.

"So..." Spike began. "You're Buffy's new squeeze, eh?"

Faith wasn't looking at him to see the look on his face when he asked that. She was just staring off at the far wall. But she answered.

"Yeah. I guess I am." She smiled at the thought, and Spike noticed. He looked her over for a few seconds. Okay then, she's sweet on the blonde, not just a shag.

"You always get all moony like that?" Breaking her out of her daze.

"Huh? Oh, not always." Faith laughed at herself. "There was a time when all I could think about was ripping her damn head off. Now all I wanna do is be close to her."

"I can identify with that..." Spike said absentmindedly. Faith looked at him, her eyebrow raised. "Uh...in the fight...against evil and all." He tried to cover.

"Come on, man. Don't bullshit a bullshitter."

He shrugged, taking another drag on his cigarette. "Ya well, guess your gonna find out from one of the others, sooner or later. See...the Slayer and I...the OTHER Slayer and I, we had a thing."

Faith just shook her head. "Geez, you know, given her past history, I shouldn't be surprised. So what, a huggy kissy thing, like her and Angel had?"

Spike laughed out loud at the comparison between himself and Angel. "More like a shag, till the damned building falls down thing. Literally, one time."

"Damn. That's...incredibly not surprising." She thought for a moment, having to admit to herself that she didn't know how she felt having a conversation with Buffy's ex-lover. "So when'd this 'thing' between you guys end?"

"You have a watch? About five hours, thirteen minutes ago." He muttered.

"Huh?" A sudden realization hit her. "Oh shit, I'm sorry man...Fuck!" She stood up and started pacing the floor back and forth.

"Hey...what the hell?"

Faith wasn't hearing him. She just kept walking around the floor of the basement. She was speaking but actually talking to herself.

"Fuck! Why'd you even come back here? You shoulda just stayed in LA, bitch..."

Spike flicked his cigarette into a corner and stood up, catching Faith by the shoulders. "Listen..."

"Don't, ok. I don't need to hear it. I've only been back in Sunnydale for two days and I'm already fuckin' with B's life again! That's what I swore I'd never do. Only this time she actually helped me do it!" Suprisingly enough, Spike actually felt for the dark haired girl. She actually cared, and that's a unique quality.

"No, you listen!" Spike had to yell at her, holding her by the shoulders to get her attention. "You didn't do anything. You didn't know."

"Are you kidding?" Faith said, feeling the familiar self-loathing worm its way back into her. "Buffy's already kicked one of her oldest friends out of the house, and screwed you over in one big swoop. I didn't wanna...I just wanted to..."

"Make her life a little better?" Spike finished for her.

She finally looked at him. "Yeah...but still I end up fuckin' it up. Screw my good intentions..."

Spike looked her directly in the eye. "Welcome to the club, girlie. The boy got all brassed off and stormed away when he found out about me and her, too. But guess what? He got over it. By the way, Buffy has been famous for going off all harsh on her friends lately. Look, sit down. Ya make me nervous." He motioned again to the floor, since there was no furniture left.

Faith sat down, then Spike next to her.

"I guess that's the reason behind your little redecorating spree, huh?" Faith muttered.

"Buffy, didn't screw me over. Not really I guess..." Spike said. "What we had...it was actually over months ago. Thing is, though, there was still this thing between us, that didn't actually go anywhere. We still had this vibe, and I hoped it would blossom again."

"I'm sorry." Faith said again, her eyes closed. "Why didn't you say anything, upstairs earlier?"

Spike chuckled again. "What was I supposed to say? I'm not a whiny little poof, and I've suffered enough indignation at Buffy's hands to be used to losing."

"Yeah well..." Faith said "Sometimes 'winning' doesn't feel so cool."

They sat for a bit longer, leaning against each other.

"Ya know...? I just thought of something." Spike told her. "When Xander got all pissy at her, over me...she didn't even say a word to him until days later. She just let him run off on his merry way."

"So?"

"So...when he fucks with you, just a little, she threatens to break bodyparts. I guess that should mean something to you."

"What're you saying?" Faith finally asked him.

"Oh, bloody hell!" Spike exclaimed. "Do I have to do all the math? It means she feels something for you that she never did for me."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really. Whatever that means." Spike admitted to himself as the words came out of his mouth.

Faith smiled again. "Cool."

"Look, Slayer, just go to her. I know you guys seem pretty happy together. Regardless of how I feel, I'll get over it...sooner or later. We're still on the same side."

She looked at him, and saw in his face that he was sincere.

"You know something?" Faith asked him, before she left. "For a vamp, you're not such a bad guy."

She started to bolt up the stairs, then as an afterthought, she turned back.

"Thanks, Blondie."

"Just be off, with you..." He answered, watching her head up the stairs.

Ok. Maybe that girl's not so bad after all.

Buffy was in the living room, looking over Willow's shoulder as she did research on her laptop.

"Hey, Wil. You seen Faith?"

"Not lately." Willow answered. "She said she was going down to smoke with Spike about an hour ago, and I haven't seen her since."

"Um...ok." Buffy walked to the basement door, only to have it open as soon as she reached for the handle. Faith was standing in the doorway, grinning.

"Holy crap." Buffy said, even while Faith was grabbing her hand and leading her out the front door.

"Faith, where are we going?" Buffy asked.

"We're going out, so we can talk, snuggle bunny." Faith gave her a sly wink and dragged her out the door.

Part 4

"Wow. I never even knew this place was here." Buffy said, as she browsed the aisles of the little shop. It was the only comics shop in Sunnydale. "I never knew you liked comics, Faithy."

"Yeah well, we haven't seen each other in a few years, B. I got into 'em in prison. Kind of a cool, fantasy break from asshole inmates and guards, ya know?"

Buffy watched her girl scan the titles on the shelf. "So how'd you know this place was here?"

"I saw a sign for it on a billboard, on the way back from LA." Faith said, not looking up from the shelf. "I saw it was in Sunnydale, and I twisted Red's arm a little to make her stop here before we went to the house. They have an awesome backstock, here. This is where I got my Daredevil #200." She announced proudly.

"Daredevil...the movie?"

Faith looked up and smiled at her. "Uh...it was a comic long before the movie, B. Catch up."

Buffy blushed, at being chided a little bit. "Hey, you gotta give me some time to be up on this stuff."

They searched the shelves for a few minutes, Faith picking out some titles that she was interested in.

"So, you said you wanted to talk." Buffy said.

"Yeah." Faith wasn't sure how to approach the subject, but she'd never been much for tact either. "So what about you and Spike?"

"Um...well." Buffy wasn't sure what to tell. "We had an affair for a few months. But we're both totally over it now."

"You sure about that?"

"Well, yeah baby. I'm totally with you, now. You know that, right?"

Faith looked around, just checking to see if anyone was listening in on their talk. The shop was tiny and, at this time of day, sparse with patrons. So they weren't in anyone's earshot. As a matter of fact, the clerk wasn't even interested in them.

"I know, B." Faith put her hand on Buffy's. "I was talking about him. I had a talk with him about it."

"Spike? He's cool with it, right? He said so this morning. Heck, I even had a date a few weeks ago and he said it was no big deal."

"You believed that shit?" Faith asked her. "Remember, you're talking to the queen of hiding her feelings. I've also been on the business end of being in love with you. If you were all that easy to get over, there wouldn't have been a last night."

Buffy looked down at the floor and thought for a few. "He's hurt, isn't he?"

How dumb could I be? She thought. I knew he still cared about me, and I blatantly threw my new relationship in front of his face.

"Look, me and him had a talk, and he's cool with us. Not the fake kinda cool, either. But, I think you should talk to him."

Buffy nodded her head. "I will. I didn't mean to hurt anyone. Just when you came back..." she looked at Faith. "...when you came back, it was like everything I was trying to find was right there."

Faith smiled. "Aww, B."

"I'm serious. I want this thing to work between us. I love you, and I guess...I wasn't thinking about anyone else's feelings but my own."

Faith nodded. "Speaking of which...Xander..."

"Oh no." Buffy said, instantly going into defensive mode. "He had it coming, the way he talked to you."

"Look, I know you wanted to defend me, and that made me feel really good. But, he cares about you, and he has every reason not to trust me. But, I think he'll come around. Just give him some time."

Buffy thought a while. "When'd you get all Psych 101 on me?"

"I've had a lot of time to self-analyze." Faith winked. "Plus, I feel bad that you told one of your friends to fuck off, because of me. I carry around enough guilt, B. I don't want any more."

Buffy browsed the shelves for a little while longer, pondering over what she had just been told. "I just wanted to hurt him." She finally said.

"Huh?"

"I was so mad at what he was saying about you. I just said the first thing that I knew would hurt him the most."

"See? That's what Giles was trying to tell us, B. You were so focused on defending me that you tossed out all reason. We can't do that. That'll get us hurt."

"Sorry, Faith."

The brunette shrugged. "Hey, it's not me that you owe an apology to."

"I know...I'll give him some time to cool down. But, I'll talk to him. Who woulda thought that you would be the sensible one of the two of us?"

Faith laughed. "Guess, time changes a lot."

Buffy's eyes widened as she spotted something that caught her attention. "Hey! Is this 'Morbius the Living Vampire' cool?"

A huge grin spread across her lover's face. "Yeah he is. Let's get it." Faith grabbed it from her and placed it with her own pile. Buffy bounced down the aisle as if her parents had just gotten her the toy she wanted.

"We better get back to the house. We should really be helping to train the Potentials."

Buffy and Faith collapsed into her bed, laughing hysterically. They were both still wet from the shower they had shared, which had gone rapidly from a mutual back washing to full body soaping. Then eventually a rabid tickle fest, ending with Faith chasing Buffy across the hallway to the bedroom.

The Potentials were all asleep, totally exhausted from the workout that Faith had put them through, so they were in no danger of being seen.

Buffy got up and closed the door, then walked back to the bed admiring the raven haired beauty that was lying on the bed, leaned up on one elbow. Faith was staring back at her with a look of searing desire. Droplets of water were still clinging to her skin, as she hadn't bothered to dry herself yet.

"God, what did you do to those poor girls, this afternoon?" Buffy asked as she reached for the towel that had fallen to the floor. "Rona, looked like she had seen a ghost when she came back inside."

"Hey, I haven't had a really decent workout in a while. Plus, I figured I should give 'em a taste of what a real Slayer could do." She winked.

Buffy's eyes widened. "Oh is that a challenge? Cause if it is, I'll show you what a 'real' Slayer can do." She said with a sexy grin. She began the task of drying herself, starting with her calves and working her way up.

Faith suddenly shot up, and with one fluid motion snatched the towel away and pulled Buffy back onto the bed on top of her. "Don't. I like you wet."

Faith brought her lips to Buffy's, immediately parting the blonde's lips with her tongue. Her lover responded in kind, and their tongues danced together. Faith's hands slipped down the small of Buffy's back and deepened the kiss.

I feel you moan into my mouth and grind your sex against my thigh. I said that I liked you wet, but damn. My girl is really turned on.

I grab you by the hips and bring my leg up to increase the pressure that you're feeling, making you spasm against me. You're bucking your hips against me, in a faster and faster rhythm, losing the contact that our mouths had just so you can continue to breathe and moan.

You start to work your way down my body, but I hold you in place. I want to see you, baby. I need to see your beautiful face. I love to see the passion that I'm giving you, baby. You're close; I can feel it.

Reversing the momentum, I flip you onto your back. Now, on top of you between your legs, I stop completely.

"Wha...what's wrong?" Buffy asked, her breath coming in short gasps.

Faith was looking down at her with a wicked grin, licking her lips. "Nothing's wrong sweetie. I've just got a surprise for you."

"Huh? What kinda surprise?"

Faith got up from the bed and walked over to her bag, which had yet to be unpacked. "Only my favorite possession." Then she looked back over her shoulder. "Well, other than YOU, that is."

Buffy blushed the full length of her body, knowing that with that statement Faith had just claimed her, as her own.

Rummaging through the bag, Faith found out what she was looking for. Then she stood up, showing it to Buffy like someone shares an intimate secret.

Buffy's eyes widened. "You keep one of those in your travel bag?"

"Hey, a girl's gotta be prepared. Never know when you're gonna get the urge or how long you're gonna go without. Now...on your hands and knees."

Faith's smile was betraying more than a little mischief.

Ok, baby. I'll do what you want. Anything for you, ya know that.

I roll over onto my hands and knees, never breaking eye contact with you. I'm so hot and totally unsatisfied. You're teasing me now. But you know that I'm yours to control. My body is your canvas, to paint the art that you want to create.

I'm ready. You're touching me now, running your hands over me, kissing my back...lower...kissing over the cleft of my butt. Please, put it inside me. Please baby, I need it. I hear it start to buzz as you press it against the inside of my thigh and I jump with excitement.

You gently trace it along my thighs, and across my lips. You're teasing me again. Oh God, baby. I move my hips back to meet your touch, but you compensate by lightening the pressure. Ok, I get the message. You're in control. Ok, baby. I'll hold still.

I'm yours.

I feel the vibrating wand pressed against my sex, bringing me higher and higher. Delicate kisses on my shoulders as the wand prods against my entry.

Oh yes. It's inside me. You're inside me.

That's my girl. You knew I'd give you what you wanted, if you were just patient. Now you get your reward.

You're thrusting back against me each time I slide my vibrator into you. My right hand is working on your sex with my toy, the left is wrapped around your waist so that I can feel you. I love touching you, feeling your desire.

Hearing your moans increase in volume, I thrust faster into you. Your hips are gyrating, almost at a level where I can't control you anymore. Hang on, Baby. I've got you.

"Mmmph...Oh God!" I hear you scream, trying to stifle yourself with a pillow. Your body contorts in a mad dance of pleasure, and you actually pull away from me, riding your climax out till its end while lying flat on your back.

I sit and watch you, as you slowly catch your breath. "B...baby...that was...oh..."

Aww, B. You're embarrassing me. "I knew you'd like it."

Finally, coming to your senses, you look up at me. "Oh Faithy...that was amazing. Could I...?" you ask as you reach for the vibrator that's still in my hand. I yank it, just out of your grasp.

"Nope." I tell you. "It's mine to use. Only mine. Got it?"

You smile up at me with your adorable face. "Yes baby."

Good. Just so you understand.

What can I do to measure up? How can I match what you just gave me? Tell me, Faithy. I need to please you.

"I love you, B." Comes from your pretty lips. Oh, I love you too Faith. I just can't form words right now. I want to feel you, taste you. Oh yeah, that's it.

I push you back against the bed and begin to kiss down your body. Swirling my tongue at your collarbone and kissing a line to each nipple. Your body surges against my mouth when I hit your waistline. I know what you want, baby. Your body is telling me where to go.

I love you, Faith. Just let me please you.

Your thighs open and then envelope me, pulling me closer to you. I feel hands behind my head, urging me lower toward your beautifully shaven center.

My mouth presses to your sex, and your body arches into me. I'm the one in control now, baby. Just for the moment, until I go back to being yours again.

"Oh, yesss. B...baby. It feels so...AHH FUCK!" Your whole body is gyrating, turning into the instrument of my pleasure. Holding you close, I ride the spasms with you until you are done. Holding you. Kissing you.

"I love you..."

I hear you whisper your love for me, snuggled against my breast. Both of my arms are wrapped protectively around you.

Nothing's gonna happen to my girl. Not while I'm here. So just sleep, baby. I'll be here to watch over you. Eventually, I feel your body give in to sleep and I'm not long to follow.

You're everything, B. I love you.

I need you.

"I arise from dreams of thee, In the first sweet sleep, of night. When the candles are burning low. And the stars are shining bright."

Faith read, in a low seductive voice from the only book that she owned. Buffy's head was in her lap, listening contentedly, as Faith continued to read.

"I arise from dreams of thee, And the spirit of my feet, Has led me- who knows how?- to thy chamber window, sweet."

Buffy looked up at her beautiful lover, realizing that there was so much about her girl that she just didn't know. Faith was truly a person with so many grooves, that it would take a lifetime for her to understand them all.

Faith continued.

"Oh lift me from the dark, I die and faint and fail Let thy tender kisses rain, upon my lips and eyelids pale. My breath is cold and hard, alas. My heart beats loud and fast. Oh, hold it close to me again, Where it will break at last."

Buffy nuzzled even closer against her as she heard the book close.

"So that's it, B." Faith said, as she closed the book. "That's my favorite. When I was in prison, I used to read it a lot. It made me think about you."

The slight tears that were running down Buffy's cheeks increased, and Faith felt teardrops falling on her tummy.

Faith held her close and whispered to her. "Shh...It's ok, B. Didn't you like it?" she said in a worried tone of voice.

Buffy wiped her cheeks, then finally answered. "Oh...Faith...I loved it. It's just...something like that made you think about me?" Buffy looked up into the younger girl's eyes.

Faith brought her lover's face to her own and kissed her deeply, wiping the remaining tears away from the blonde's cheeks at the same time.

"Well, of course, silly." Faith said. "How could I not think about you when I read something like that? Once ya get past all the 'thee and thou' crap, that is."

"That was great, baby." Buffy smiled.

It was morning, and the two had awakened together, finding the sunlight streaming between the blinds that were on Buffy's window. Instead of getting out of bed, they had talked for a while. Finally, Faith had broken out the book of poetry from her bag.

Faith brought her up and kissed her again. "You're such a sweetie. Do you know how much I love you?"

Buffy nuzzled against Faith's shoulder. "Nope. But, I love finding out."

Faith kissed her lover, covering Buffy's mouth with her own. She held her close, smelling Buffy's aroma. So beautiful, to think Buffy smells this good all the time.

"I know you're still tired. You should go back to sleep for a little while." Faith said. "I'll be here when you wake up. I promise."

"Thanks, baby." Buffy said, just before she drifted off again. "By the way...about yesterday... 'snuggle bunny' ?"

"Deal with it." Faith kissed her on the tip of her nose, and Buffy nodded off to sleep.

Faith lay next to her and watched as the older girl's chest rose and fell in a contented pattern.

You're lying on your back, sleeping so soundly. I watch you for a while, sighing whenever you do. When I look at you like this, I can't help but smile. So cute. My B.

Anyway, I open my book again and read for a while longer. Slowly turning page after page.

One of the first things that I did, before I left LA, was get another copy of this. My other copy was in prison, borrowed and never returned from the prison library, and it's not like I could just walk back in and ask for it. Wouldn't that be a funny sight? 'Gee, sorry about the breakout and giving a couple of your guards concussions. But, I'm gonna be on the run here so could I have my stuff?' Willow loaned me the money for this copy, though she didn't know why I wanted it so bad. Gonna have to think of a way to pay her back.

When the prison librarian had suggested that I check this book out, I thought she was kidding. I mean here's this 18-year-old girl, who's in for Murder One. And she suggests a book of poems? But, she insisted. So, I did the woman a favor. I checked it out.

It sat on the end of my cell bunk for five days, before I actually picked it up. The only reason that I did was because it was raining that day and our afternoon exercise session in the yard was cancelled. So, I was sitting on my bunk totally bored and I caught sight of the book. I picked it up and read the cover. 'A Collection of 19th Century Works'

From the first page I was caught. Heck, half of the shit I couldn't even understand. But when I read it...it was so...cool. The way the words were put together, when I read them aloud they sounded like I was singing without actually singing. Which was good for the people in the cells on either side of me, because I just don't sing. Not even in the shower.

I spent the whole day, and the next day in my cell reading the entire volume cover to cover. I still don't know what a lot of the poems even mean. But I love to hear them.

But, there was one, that I couldn't possibly mistake the meaning: 'I Arise From Dreams of Thee' by Percy Shelley. Wow. By the time I was half way through reading it the first time, your face was in my mind.

I've held on to this book ever since, and I don't plan on letting it go.

Did I just hear a moan?

I close the book and toss it to the floor. Then I look down at you.

"Mmm." I hear escape from your mouth. Still asleep, but moaning. Your head moves from one side to the other as one of your hands actually lands upon your breast. And I hear the soft lament escape from you again.

Oh man, I get it. You're having one of THOSE dreams.

Grinning like hell, I pull back the covers, to look at your perfect form. Damn my brain. I know that I should let you sleep. But, another part of me wants nothing more than to lose myself in your dreamy arousal.

Ah, what the hell. You've slept long enough, baby. This is gonna be fun.

I'm using every bit of skill that I have to touch you. Touch you so delicately that I leave only the faintest sensation. Not enough to wake you, but to drive your desire to the next level, even in your dreams.

I run a line of delicate kisses down your chest and across your stomach. Your body arches slightly against me and my soft proddings.

"Nnn...ya...Faith." as you twitch in your sleep, feeling my mouth on you. Ok, that's good to know. Even in your dreams, it's me, and that makes me smile. You're mine, B. Don't you forget it.

Trying as hard as I can to not wake you, I position myself between your legs. Then, the next time I feel your body arch, I press my mouth to you. Just light, soft licks that barely penetrate your center. But, even those are enough to shoot you to a high point.

Slowly, I become a little more bold and increase the pressure of my tongue against you, testing you. Seeing how much I can give you, without shaking you out of your dream and into reality. Not that the reality of me licking you would be that bad, if I do say so myself. I grin and softly laugh at that thought.

From the way you are moving, I can tell that I won't be able to keep this game up much longer. You're gonna wake up. There's no doubt about it. The only challenge is how long I can stave that off.

I continue to move my tongue in a circular pattern, softly...gently...hearing you moan my name. After a little while of this, it even becomes too much for me. Screw this game. I want my girl.

I wrap my arms around your legs and pull you roughly to my face. Sucking your center into my mouth and running my tongue back and forth across it. That's enough to jar you out of sleep.

I can tell you're just getting your bearings, but you still know what I'm doing to you. As soon as your eyes open, you look down at me, my face buried between your thighs.

"Oh...Faith. Oh yesss..." bringing your hands behind my head. I hold my face between your legs, tasting you, bringing you to the highest point until finally your sweet release. Arching your back, my girl cries out. No pillow, to scream into this time, B. I'm sure the whole second floor heard you that time. That's ok. Let 'em know how hot we are for each other.

Kissing my way up your body, I finally take your mouth against my own. I love you, Buffy Summers.

"Good morning, B."

Xander heard the knock at his door, as he was flipping through his movie channels and trying to pass the time. Something's gotta be on, other than infomercials for the 'Ab-Doer'.

Then the knock. Great. Who is it now?

He got up from his couch and made his way to the door, making sure to check his peephole. Funny thing though, all he could see through the peephole was white. Scratch that. A white background, with a few black lines.

Ok, that's weird, he thought. His curiosity getting the better of him, he opened the door. Now in full view was a 3x3, white poster board, with the words "I'm Sorry" and a circled frownie face, drawn in magic marker.

Slowly, the sign lowered and there was Buffy's face. She had the classic Buffy pout, her bottom lip sticking out slightly. There was the slightest hint of a tear, in her eye.

Xander stood in his doorway, a stern look still on his face. However a stern Xander look is nothing in comparison to the power of a Buffy pout. He was still mad, yes. But the woman who was at his door with a giant cardboard sign had been one of his best friends for years.

"Geez, Buff. Just come in, already." He said, shaking his head and heading back into his living room for Buffy to follow.

"Are you sure we're talking about the same girl?" Xander asked. "Faith, right? Stands about five-foot-four, dark hair?" He couldn't believe some of the things that Buffy had been telling him.

"You have to see it to believe it, Xander." Buffy told him. "I'm learning so much about Faith, that I never knew before. Heck, things that never even existed before. She's changed so much."

"Poetry?" Xander asked, still unable to process what he had been told.

"Before...when we had our thing...it ended bad. She was wrong. Something inside was broken."

"I'll say. But you really think the broken part of her is all fixed up now?"

Buffy thought a moment. "I don't just know it. I feel it. This past few days with her has been like a whirlwind. Just like before. What I feel for her isn't like anything else that I've ever felt. Please understand."

Xander thought awhile, his mind in a million different scenarios.

"I was a total bitch." Buffy finally broke the silence. "I just lashed out at you, because you said something bad about Faith...I'm sorry. She's the one that actually made me see that."

"Buffy..." Xander began. "I love you, and in the end...I trust your judgment. If she's what makes you happy, you know I'm not gonna stand in your way."

"She is. The past few days, I've been lost with her, and it was great. It was the first time in months that I allowed myself to forget the severity of what we're facing right now. This is the biggest and baddest thing that we've ever seen, Xander. I need everyone on board. Not just the Slayers and the Witches. But, I need my special friend, too...my special friend that I treated like crap."

Xander smiled at her. "I'm on board, Buff."

She smiled at him. "Thank you. Please give her a chance, ok?"

"You're not gonna bust my face, if I don't, are you?"

"No. I was never gonna bust your face. I was just talking smack. I guess, I've been watching too much pro-wrestling lately...and I know that you're not just jealous. I just wanted to say something to cut at you."

Then she hugged him.

"Well, maybe I am, just a little." Xander told her, smiling. "But, who wouldn't be?"

"Aww."

Faith was on patrol. She had struck out on her own, just after sunset.

Buffy had gone to Xander's place, so she could hash things out with him. That was a good thing. But, Faith had quickly become so bored that she decided to hit the graveyards for a quick sweep for whatever vampires were dumb enough to show their faces with two Slayers in town.

She wasn't disappointed.

"Hey, Slayer-number-two!!" She heard, and spun on her heel to face the voice. "I heard that you were back in town."

The source of the voice was still unseen, but Faith knew exactly where he was. In fact, she knew where his two friends were too. She took a few steps forward, feeling the old confident swagger come back to her.

"Yeah, well..." Faith called out to the darkness. "You come to give me the tour? 'Cause that's really sweet, but I already know my way around. So, why don't you and your buddies get out here so we can dance?"

Needing no more invitation, the vampire that was hiding behind the oak to her left charged. She turned to face him, dropping into fighting stance. As he ran forward she stopped him with a side-kick to his stomach. She grabbed him by the shirt as he doubled over and flung him into the second vampire who was now rushing in from behind her.

The two bloodsuckers collided and toppled backwards over a tombstone, as Faith rushed forward, staking the one that had landed on top and watching him turn to dust. Immediately she was grabbed from behind, and she shifted her weight to throw the offending vampire off of her back, when suddenly she felt the arms that were grappling her disappear and heard a crash behind her.

She turned quickly to see the vampire that had been attacking her, from behind, sail through the air into a nearby mausoleum.

"Hey, sweet thing. I see you started without me."

Buffy advanced on the fallen vampire, while Faith took her fighting stance to deal with the remaining vampire that was now getting to his feet.

Buffy hit her adversary with a right cross, as he was getting back to his feet. 'Don't give them a chance to regain the high ground' she remembered herself saying to the Potentials. She pulled 'Mr. Pointy' from her waistband and moved in for the kill, when the vampire suddenly blocked and struck at her hand. The stake she had been holding broke in half, but she was still holding the sharpened end.

Buffy plunged it into his chest, watching him fall to dust and letting the shattered stake fall to the ground. Then she turned to see her girlfriend twisting the head, completely off of her enemy who fell to dust. Faith turned and gave her a wink.

"Hey, B." she said. "Glad you could make it." Faith walked toward her and brought Buffy into a quick hug and kiss. Faith was more than a little surprised, and happy at the same time, to see her girl.

"Yeah, well..." Buffy said, catching her breath. "I'm always happy to help out."

She grabbed Faith's hand and began walking from the cemetery, looking down and frowning. "Poor Mr. Pointy. He's been with me so long. Damn vampires."

"It's ok, B. We'll get you another." Faith said as the two of them walked home, hand in hand.

"So..." Caleb muttered from his vantage point. "The two dirty girls have a thing for each other. Interesting..."

He retreated from his hiding place, and began forming a plan.

It was after midnight when they got home. Buffy and Faith had patrolled a few more graveyards and finally decided to head home.

Giles and Willow were both in the living room, peering at the latest book that Giles had produced from his pack, and they both looked up at the sound of the two Slayers coming through the door.

"Girls..." Giles said. "Is everything alright?" He got up and moved toward them, to give them the once over.

Faith smiled and shrugged her shoulders. "Sure, G-man. Everything's cool." She could see that he had been worried about them.

"It's ok, Giles. We went on a late patrol." Buffy told him. But he still insisted on looking them both over to make sure that neither of them was injured. Finally he was satisfied that both of them were ok.

"Yes...well. I suppose you two should get some rest." He said.

Buffy grabbed Faith's hand and headed up the stairs, but Faith broke away from her and ran back down. She caught Giles totally by surprise with a quick peck on the cheek.

He was taken aback, but he smiled at the girl whom he considered his second daughter. "What was that for?" he asked.

Faith smiled at him. "That was for worrying...and for believing in me."

She turned and ran up the stairs, after Buffy. Then Giles turned back and returned to his research.

"Gee..." Willow finally said, after a few minutes of silence.

"What?" Giles asked, looking up at her.

Willow shrugged. "I believed in her, too. But, she never made with the smoochies."

For the first time in a long time, Giles laughed out loud.

"Ok, girlfriend. Into the tub." Faith instructed.

Buffy lowered herself into the warm water that her girlfriend had drawn for her, and then playfully blew the bubbles that were permeating the tub and smiled up at her girl.

Faith seductively stripped off her shirt, raising it above her head and tossing it to the side. She gave Buffy her most wicked grin as she unbuttoned her pants, swinging her hips from side to side.

Oh yeah, Faith thought. I love teasing you, my little minx.

She kissed the palm of her hand and blew Buffy a kiss before she turned around and bent over, sliding her jeans to her ankles and stepping out of them. She was leering seductively over her shoulder, letting Buffy have a clear view of her behind.

You're so cute, B. All snuggled in the bubbles. Snuggled in the bubbles...gee, that rhymes.

I know I'm teasing you and that's really not fair. But, guess what? Too bad. You know that I'll give in to you soon, so who cares if I tease a little? I just love seeing the look on your face when I parade in front of you. You want me, and I love it. Being wanted.

You scoot forward as I step into the tub, sliding in behind you. Ooh. All soapy. My arms are around your waist and I hold you close, as I kiss your neck.

"All clean?" I ask.

"Always dirty, when I'm with you."

"That's my girl." I slide my hands up to cup your breasts and kiss your cheek from behind, hearing you moan. You're so slippery. That's such a turn on. Well, everything about you is a turn on.

That's it, baby. You relax back against me and let out a long sigh, as I run my hands down your body. Ya know, with all the experiences that I've had I don't think I've ever taken a bath with somebody.

"Have I told you, today, how happy I am?" You ask. "I mean, I know we could die at any second, but I'm just so...I dunno."

Aww, B. I'm happy too. Pretty much, happier than I've ever been. But, seriously, how can I say it? I mean, you're beautiful. You're mine. How much more could I ask for? But, I've never been the one who expresses my inner feelings very well. I don't have a book to read to you from. I've gotta come up with my words on my own.

"I love you, Buffy." That's all I can think of to say.

"I love you too, baby." You turn in my arms, to face me, and then press your lips to mine. Then I melt, just like I do every time you kiss me. Our tongues meet and I feel your hands slipping under the water.

Uh-oh. My girl is a starter pistol tonight. Ok, I can handle that. My breath hitches in my throat at the first contact between your fingers and my sex. I lean my head back and close my eyes, feeling your mouth on my neck moving downward.

"Oh yes, B...that's it." I love the things that you are capable of doing to me. Noone else has ever done it for me like you, B. I feel your fingers moving back and forth across me and it sends an electric spark through me every time you touch my clit. My head is still thrown back while you're kissing my neck and I'm panting "Oh...unh...oh..." like I'm some kinda goon.

But I'm ok with it. Only with you, baby.

My B.

Higher and higher, I go. Your hands are bringing me closer to my release. Oh yeah, that's it. I'm almost there. My back arches...then you stop. I feel your hand disappear completely from me. What's wrong?

I open my eyes to see you smiling at me mischievously. Oh you little shit. You're taking a page out of my playbook, now. You think you're in control? I've still got a few cards up my sleeve.

"Sit on the edge of the tub." You say, and I just raise an eyebrow.

"Why?" I have this cocky grin on my face.

You're still smiling. "Because...I wanna do you."

Oh come on, B. You can do better than that. "Nope. I wanna hear what you want to do to me."

Your eyebrows furrow in that oh, so cute way. "I just told you." You say with a sweet little pout.

"Nu-uh. Not good enough. I want you to say it, or no deal."

I see those big emerald greens widen as you realize what I want. "You're really gonna make me say it, aren't you?"

I just nod my head and grin. I'll bring that potty mouth outta you one way or another.

Taking a deep breath, you finally say the words I want to hear. "I wanna eat your pussy, Faith."

I win.

Oh man, if I could capture my grin on camera it would be priceless. Just like one of those priceless commercial spots. I'm so wicked sometimes.

"Sure thing, baby." I happily hop up on the side of the tub. Almost immediately I feel your mouth on me, kissing at my left knee and working your way up. Looking down at you, my heart skips a beat. You are so frickin' beautiful. Do you know that?

My hand moves behind your head and holds your face firmly against me. I'm still so close, sweetie. Your tongue inside me feels so good.

"Mmmph...oh yah. Oh god, I'm gonna..."

I just lost every thought in my head. I'm spiraling out of control. Oh B. That was amazing. The sensations that are shooting through my body now...oh wow. But, I feel myself slip back down into the tub, being surrounded by your arms. My head is still spinning.

I love you, girl. And I want the whole world to know it.

I nuzzle into your arms, feeling you squeeze me tighter. I know that I shouldn't fall asleep in the tub. But, I'm just so comfortable here.

Here. With you.

Part 5

"Hey, Runt." Faith said when she came into the kitchen.

Dawn looked up, from pouring herself a bowl of Raisin Bran. "Morning Faith." She smiled. "...and I'm not a runt. I'm taller than you."

Faith just grinned, reaching into the refrigerator for the jug of juice. Surprisingly, they were alone in the kitchen. Not a normal day at Casa de Summers, lately.

"So where is everyone?" Faith had awoken alone, this morning. It was strange that Buffy was up before her, but she had shrugged her clothes on and headed downstairs.

"Me and Amanda are going to school today. Buffy took the rest of the Potentials out early this morning. Guess she couldn't sleep last night."

Faith shrugged wondering where they could have gone without her, but she was still grateful for the opportunity to sleep.

"So, how's the boyfriend?" Faith asked, trying to make conversation with her girlfriend's sister.

Dawn smiled. "He's ok...we're still in the 'getting to know each other' stage. But, he's pretty cool so far."

Faith thought awhile. "Ya know, I don't think I've ever had a 'getting to know each other' stage. Well...except for your sister that is, and that's been recent."

They both laughed about that, as Faith poured herself a glass of OJ and took a long drink.

"So you know where they went?"

"Nope. I think Buffy's tryin' to find out more about psycho-preacher man. All we know is that he's held up in a mission somewhere."

"Hmm..." Faith acknowledged, worried about her girl and the Potentials.

The door opened and Buffy led the girls into the house.

Faith got up and met them at the door; she had been sitting on the couch pretending to watch TV and waiting for Buffy to come home.

"Hey baby!" Buffy beamed, greeting her girl with a short kiss.

"Where'd you go?" Faith asked as she hugged Buffy tightly. "I was worried."

Buffy smiled trying to set Faith at ease.

"Hey, it's ok." She moved her hand to caress Faith's cheek. "We just did a little recon. Actually I think that we should make our strike on the preacher, tonight."

"Really? I think maybe we should wait, until we know a little more about him."

Buffy shook her head. "No. We need to take him out. Hard and fast."

Faith still wasn't sure, but saw the resolution on Buffy's face.

"Ok, if you think that's the smartest thing." She agreed, hesitantly. "We'll go get him. Let's get ready."

"I know you, boy..." Caleb said as he held Xander by the throat. "You're the one who sees things...I can change that."

Xander screamed in pain as Caleb drove his thumb into his left eye socket. He was just about to do the same to the other eye, when Faith rushed him. Caleb flung Xander to one side just in time to have Faith kick him.

He stumbled back and Faith advanced on him with a right hand to his temple. Her strike rung true, but didn't have the effect that she had expected. Caleb just looked at her and laughed.

Ok, she said to herself. That didn't hurt? Try this. She kicked him in the stomach again, and then pulled her knife. She was ready to gut this son-of-a-bitch. Fuck him and his girl-hating shit.

"Faith, no!!" she heard Buffy call out as her hand was intercepted and redirected into her own gut.

"Ow...fuck!!" Faith sputtered as she felt the knife slip into her stomach. Her eyelids fluttered, but she looked up into Caleb's eyes. He smiled as he withdrew the knife and plunged it into her again.

The last thing Faith saw, before she lost consciousness was Buffy knocking Caleb back and ordering a retreat to the Potentials.

Oh, B. Still protecting me? I love you.

Then she faded out of the material world.

"Giles!" Buffy shouted as she burst through the front door of her house. She was carrying Faith's unconscious body. "Giles!" she called again, tears streaming down her cheeks.

She moved to the couch and put her girl down. Faith had been stabbed twice and badly beaten. Oh my god, Buffy thought. This is my fault.

At least two Potentials were dead, and Xander had been taken to the hospital. But, Faith had been hurt the worst. Tears fell upon her girl as Giles rushed into the room, to find out what was wrong.

"Oh dear lord!" Giles exclaimed, seeing Faith's condition. His heart skipped a beat, as he advanced on his two daughters.

"NO!" Buffy blurted out. A moment ago she was calling out for him. But, now she was crouched in a feral manner above her girl. "Don't touch her! She's mine!"

Then Buffy collapsed into tears, snuggling close to her bleeding girlfriend. "She's everything." Buffy whispered into the air.

"Buffy..." Giles said, tentatively and approaching the two of them. "I need to help her. We need to stop her bleeding. Maybe we should take her to the hospital."

"No! We can't take her to the hospital, Giles. If they find out who she is, they'll put her in prison again. I can't lose her again." Buffy's tears were flowing more quickly now, at the thought of losing Faith. Either way.

As he got closer, Buffy relented and more tears flowed from her eyes. She looked up at her Watcher, pleading. "I love her, Giles. Please help her."

"I will." Giles agreed. "Willow! Get me bandages...NOW!"

Willow dampened a washcloth, and lightly rested it on Faith's forehead. It was the second time in as many weeks that she had nursed the younger Slayer. But, this time it seemed so much worse. Noone was sure whether or not Faith would pull through, but she truly hoped that she'd be okay.

Not only for her own sake, but Buffy's sake too. Buffy would be shattered if Faith didn't make it.

Willow leaned down and kissed Faith's forehead, before giving Buffy a hug.

"She'll be okay, Buffy. She's strong." Willow said, reassuringly. She didn't even know if what she was saying was true, but she said it. Then she left the room.

Buffy sat on a chair next to her bed, watching Faith. She hadn't regained consciousness, at all, from the time that Buffy had brought her in the door. Giles had cleaned her up and bandaged her, managing to stop the bleeding.

"Will she be ok, Giles?" Buffy asked. Her voice was barely more than a whisper.

Giles moved forward and put his hand on Buffy's shoulder. "I honestly don't know, Buffy. The bleeding has stopped, but she's lost so much blood. And I don't know if any of her internal organs were hit. I...I just don't know."

Giles, himself, was starting to tear.

"I think that maybe..." Giles said. "...the accelerated healing process that the two of you have will help her. I..." he stopped, unable to continue.

Buffy, just sat and stared at her girlfriend. Oh Faith, she thought. This is my entire fault. Please forgive me. She had regained her composure while Giles was helping Faith, but now tears were flowing anew. Giles leaned down and kissed Buffy on the top of her head.

"I'll leave you two alone, now." Giles said somberly, and he quietly exited the room.

Buffy sat for a while, holding the younger girl's hand, watching over her as she breathed in and out, soundlessly.

Oh Faith. I love you so much. Please don't leave me now. I need you. What am I going to do without you? I'm breaking up. I feel so useless. I'm supposed to be some big leader. What am I now?

Just a girl, worried about her lover. That's all, nothing else.

"Faithy...can you hear me?" I say as I squeeze your hand. "Stay with me baby. Don't leave, because I just found you again..."

What can I do to reach you? Desperate, I reach down into your pack drawing out the only thing that means something to you on an emotional level. Your book. I find the small piece of paper that you use as a bookmark. No dog-earing for my girl, huh?

Then finding your place that you marked, in the book, I start to read.

"Somewhere I have never traveled, far beyond my experience, Your eyes have their silence. Somewhere, in your deepest being are things which enclose me, But which I cannot touch because they are too near."

More tears began to slip down Buffy's cheeks as she reads.

"Your slightest look, will easily unclose me, Though I have closed myself as fingers. You open always, petal by petal, myself As spring opens her first rose."

Buffy looked up at her girl, just look at her. It didn't matter whether or not Faith had any reaction. Just that she was there, loving her. That's all that mattered, that Faith knew that she was there for her.

"Or, if your wish be to close me, I and my life will shut Very beautifully and suddenly As when the flower imagines the snow..."

The tears became too much for her and she dropped the book to the floor, holding and pressing her forehead against her girlfriend's hand. Through the sobs that wracked her body, she managed the words:

"Faith, please don't leave me..."

Suddenly, I feel a squeeze on my hand. Faith? Are you there, sweetie? Oh God, let you be there.

Another squeeze, my heart jumps with excitement as I feel another squeeze.

"B...B?" I hear. Oh my God, how could I have given up on you? You're really here!!! Oh my goodness, how could I have given up on you?

"Faith, are you ok?" I ask, pressing myself against the part of you that's not injured.

"D-dunno. Just hold me..." you whisper. Oh baby. I'm so happy that you're alive; I'll do whatever you want. I crawl in bed with you and slip my arms, gently, around you.

"I...I think, that I'm ok."

I love you, Faith. Don't ever scare me like that again.

"Faith...you should be in bed." Buffy said. She had gone up to check on her girlfriend, and found her stumbling across the hall to the bathroom.

Faith grinned. "Look at you, B...I'm all hurt and all you can think about is getting me in the sack...oww." She managed a smile as she made her way across the hallway. She was leaning on Tiffany, one of the new Potentials. Tiffany blushed, but remained silent.

"What am I supposed to do, B? I hafta go..." Then she looked at Buffy and smiled reassuringly. "It's ok, baby. I'll make it."

Then Faith went into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. It had been four days since Faith had been injured, and she had healed remarkably well. However, Buffy was still worried and Faith was still not getting around that well.

Buffy leaned against the wall, waiting for her girlfriend to come back out of the bathroom, and smiled at Tiffany. "Thanks, Tiff."

The pretty blonde Potential grinned. "It's ok. She's my buddy."

Tiffany had spent a lot of time with Faith over the past days, being with her whenever Buffy was gone to patrol or visiting Xander in the hospital. "You guys really love each other, huh?"

Buffy smiled. "Yeah, we do."

Tiffany sighed, happily. "She talks about you a lot...even when she's unconscious. Some of it's...not totally clean either." Then she giggled, blushed, and Buffy brought her into a hug.

"Thank you." She finally said, blushing herself.

Tiffany shrugged, playing it cool, before she walked away. "Later Buffy." She ran off to join the other Potentials at breakfast.

"I'm ok, B...really." Faith said as Buffy helped her back into bed. Faith sat on the edge of the bed and smiled up at her beautiful lover. "Four days, you've waited on me hand and foot. You shouldn't have to."

"You're too independent, lover. You're gonna sit there and let me wait on you, hand and foot. Got it?"

Normally, Faith would put up more of a fight. But, she knew that she didn't have the strength to argue. Then she sighed.

"Okay, B..."

Buffy beamed. "Great! I'll get you breakfast, so you lay down."

Faith laid back against the abundance of pillows that everyone had brought her. Ahh...comfy. This was really the shit. However, if anyone brought her even one more pillow or stuffed animal, Faith doubted that there would be any room on the bed for her.

It had only been a few days since she had been injured. But, Faith really felt like she should get out of bed. The Potentials had visited her a few times, making sure that she was ok.

Then there was Buffy. Sweet, wonderful Buffy. Almost every time that she had opened her eyes, her girlfriend had been there.

Hell, at least I'm not in a coma again. I couldn't handle being away from B for that long. Not away from my girl.

My B.

The door opens again and there you are. Aww, you even have one of those neat little trays. The ones that have the tiny legs that sit on either side of the person eating. I love it.

Buffy sat the tray down on Faith's thighs. Eggs, toast, bacon...mmm yummy.

"Thanks, baby." Faith smiled at her lover, then reached out and put her hand on Buffy's cheek. She brought her into a long deep kiss.

"Mmm. That'll make all this food taste even sweeter." She gave a wicked grin.

Buffy smiled. "I see you're feeling better."

Faith reached out quickly and smacked Buffy on the behind, hearing her give a "YIPE!"

"Gimme a few days and I'll show you just how good I feel." She said, waggling her eyebrows, as she brought a forkful of eggs to her mouth.

"You devil."

"You betcha." The dark haired Slayer smiled again. Buffy smiled sweetly and rested her forehead against Faith's.

"I've gotta go to work." Buffy finally said. "Is there anything you need?"

Her girlfriend thought a while. "Turn the radio on...?"

"Sure thing." Buffy got up and clicked the radio knob on, and music began streaming from the speakers.

"Thanks..." Faith said. "...and don't worry about me, ok?"

Buffy blew her another kiss at the door, and then closed it behind her.

My life is so cool. Even apart from being friggin' impaled by some psychotic fuckstick.

Ok, so I'm on the run from the cops, and we're facing the possible end of the world. Those are two more big imperfections. But, in my own mind, it doesn't matter. Everyone in the house keeps popping in to check on me. Tiffany has become my new friend, and it's not too bad to have another friend.

I think she has a little crush on me, but that's ok. I'll let her down easy. B's my girl, and noone else. Can't help myself.

I get up and try a few stretches, loosening the muscles that have become a little stiff. My stomach hurts a little, so I'm not pushing myself too hard. But I just hafta get up and move some. It's hard, but I continue.

After a little while, I open the bedroom door and head downstairs. I need to get outta this room, for a while. Down the stairs, taking each one gingerly.

"Hey, Runt." I say as I enter the kitchen.

"Faith!" she exclaims, rushing into me and hugging me. Oww. I'm glad that she's so happy to see me up and around. But still...oww. Having so many people care about me is still a new experience. But, I'll get used to it.

Later that day, Faith sat on the back porch as she watched the girls train in the yard. She watched each of them intently, studying their movements. Noting, based on their individual skill, which of the girls she wanted backing her up when shit went down. Also which ones she or Buffy would need to give back up to, were they all to survive.

More than anything she wanted to be out there with them, kickin' some training ass, but she used all of her newfound restraint to lightly rest her ankle on a nearby table and stretch her legs. She may not be a hundred percent yet, but she was starting to get her groove back.

The back door burst open, quickly and Faith looked up from her light stretches.

"You guys, have you seen...? FAITHY!" Buffy beamed when she saw her girlfriend, and moved forward, pressing her body against the other Slayer. Faith held her back a little to avoid Buffy hitting any sore spots, but still hugged her girl closely.

"Hey, easy there Tiger. Still damaged goods here, ya know." Faith winked.

Buffy smiled. "It's just good to see you up. Are you..."

"Five by five. Well almost five by five, but getting close. I'm getting around a lot better." Faith brought Buffy into a kiss, a slow sweet kiss. Followed by another, which stopped only for the two of them to catch their breath. They rested against each other, then finally separated and looked up. They had an audience.

The girls were all stone-still just staring at the two of them.

"Hey!" Faith yelled, grinning. "Get back to practice!" Then she grabbed Buffy's hand and led her into the house; through the kitchen, and into the living room. The potentials just grinned and went back to their workout.

Faith led Buffy, slowly (as she was moving well but not quickly) to the couch in the living room. She held her girl's hand as they both sat down. Then she spoke with solid resolution.

"We're gonna make it, B."

Still smiling, Buffy quirked her head thinking Faith was talking about their relationship. "What do you mean, baby? Of course we are."

Faith realized what she meant. "No. I mean after all this. The preacher... The First... everything. I know it. We're both gonna make it."

Buffy's brow furrowed. "How do you know?" Buffy wasn't even sure if she herself would live through the final battle.

"I thought about it a long time this afternoon...then it just came to me. Like one of our special dreams, ya know?"

Her lover nodded, but was still slightly unconvinced and Faith could tell. She moved both hands behind the blonde's head.

"We need each other for a reason, B. We make each other stronger."

"Stronger?"

Faith took a breath, and explained. "When I was out of it...I knew you were there. I...I know for sure that I would have died if it wasn't for you being right beside me, giving my your strength along with mine. We love each other."

Buffy's face lightened, finally, as she understood.

"I get it! Love is stronger than evil!"

Faith grinned. "You know it."

"This is Faith...the other Vampire Slayer..." Andrew said as he moved the camera around her, filming Faith as she flipped through the pages of the latest Spawn comic.

Faith looked up at him, from the couch, and waved at the camera. "Hiya..."

"So, Faith...tell me, how do you feel after being injured at the hands of merciless evil?"

Faith thought for a moment. "Well... pretty fuckin' pissed off, actually. But, me and Buffy will make it right." She said, satisfied with her answer.

"Ahh, yes..." Andrew said, pausing and turning the camera toward himself, getting a full frame of his own face. "As I have told you before, gentle-viewers, the two Slayers are the yin and yang of each other. Buffy the bright goddess, and Faith the dark haired queen. They have come together joining forces, not to mention their hearts, to fight the forces of evil."

Faith just sat and watched him and laughed to herself. That kid is fuckin' crazy, she thought. This guy used to be an evil mastermind?

"Let us now, get Faith's perspective on her new relationship with our fearless, if not longwinded, leader." Andrew turned the camera back around, focusing it on Faith once again.

Faith shrugged, looking at the camera. "Well, it's not really new. The relationship I mean. We were together years ago...I did some pretty bad stuff and it ended. But, it's ok. I'm different now. We both are."

"Oh, your turn to the dark side of the force...Would you care to elaborate on that?"

"Not really." Faith said flatly, shaking her head. "Let's just say it was bad and leave it alone, ok?"

"Um...well." Andrew stammered. "Can you describe for us, your relationship with Buffy?"

Faith smiled, then. Now this was a subject she could get into. She settled back into the couch, before she answered. "Well...it's hot...sexy...passionate...and just all around incredible."

She was grinning broadly, then her eyes drifted off, away from the camera. She continued. "It's also sweet. Romantic, too. She does such great things for me. I just can't get enough of her. It's like whenever I'm not around her, I'm always thinking about her in the back of my head and wishing I could be with her. Then when I'm with her, all I want to do is grab her...and kiss her...and..."

After a pause, Andrew asked. "...and?"

Faith just looked mischievously at the camera. "That's none of your frickin' business, Girlie-Pants." With that she gave the camera her middle finger and grinned.

Andrew sighed dreamily, as he shut off the camera. This was great stuff.

That night, the two Slayers lay in their bed, holding close to each other. Buffy's head was resting contentedly on Faith's tummy, her fingers stroking lightly along the area of her lover's stomach that was now completely healed over. Inspecting and touching tenderly.

"It's strange..." She finally said.

"What is, baby?"

"Well, it's only been about a week. But where you were hurt...it's all gone. Not even any scars, just like always." She hesitated, still running her hand across her lover's belly, finally stopping at a certain point. "So why's this still here?"

Faith looked down to see Buffy running her finger along the length of a certain scar. The only one that Faith's body bore, that hadn't faded entirely thanks to the Slayers' incredible healing process. The scar that Buffy herself had given her years ago, when she had run Faith's own knife into her during their rooftop fight.

"I dunno." The dark-haired girl, finally said. "I've wondered about that too. I used to look in the mirror and stare at it, wondering why it didn't go away like all the others."

Buffy leaned down and kissed the spot. Once. Twice. Then, she resumed stroking the area with her fingers, and Faith continued to wonder.

"Maybe... it's there because I still want it."

Buffy lifted her head and looked at her lover.

"What do you mean? Why?"

"Sometimes when I look at it...it reminds me of what I used to be. I don't ever want to go back to that. So, it stays there. To remind me."

"You'll never go back there. I'm here for you, and I won't abandon you this time. I'll never let you go." Buffy sat up and brought both of her hands up to rest on Faith's shoulders, smiling. "Got it?"

The lovely brunette smiled. "I got it."

Then Buffy brought Faith's lips to her own, kissing her with all she had. Giving her every bit of passion that was in her, and hearing Faith moan into her touch.

My lips press against yours, and I feel you melt into me. I tentatively move my hands into your beautiful, dark hair and hold you close to me. Your intensity rolls off of you in waves, and I feel your passion flood into me like it was just being poured in.

Your hand is on my waist, gently stroking and bringing the most delicate but electric sensations, from your slightest touch. Oh my. Everything about you arouses me, and brings out the sweetest part of me that I try to keep hidden. You complete me.

I feel your hand between my legs, gently stroking my inner thigh. You're teasing me, but I know that you'll give me what I need. You always do, no matter how much you tease.

"Oh, Faith." I gasp, when you begin to kiss my neck. I need you, please take me.

At the sound of me whispering your name, your grip on me intensifies. Hands running across my body with urgency that I'm not sure I can match. You need me too.

I press myself against you, so closely that I can hardly breathe. The feeling of your body against mine is so powerfully intoxicating, and I moan with the feeling that runs through me. Our mouths separate and you alternate between kisses and light licks down my neck, finally stopping at my breast.

Oh God. Circling my nipple with your tongue then drawing it into your mouth, pulling at my flesh. Light little nibbles that send jolts of pleasure all the way down to my center.

"Yes...oh please, Faith."

One of your hands slips down my stomach toward my aching sex, and my whole body shivers at the touch of your fingers against me.

Ooh, my girl likes that, huh?

I keep one arm wrapped firmly around your waist, holding you in place while I continue to work on your dripping need. Slipping my middle and ring fingers inside and letting the pad of my palm rub against your clit, as I slowly work them in and out. I can feel you trying to arch up in pleasure, but I continue to hold you tight on top of me.

"Oh...yess...that feels so..."

That's my girl. I love hearing you moan for me, knowing how high that I can take you. I can't help but grin. You're close; I can feel it. Your muscles are clenching around my fingers, and a vibration is building in you like a low hum that rapidly increases to a roar.

Your body jerks against me like you're being pulled apart from the inside, but still I hold you close not letting you go. Most times you groan or even cry out when you climax, but this time you let out this adorable series of gasps and whimpers. So cute.

Lying on top of me, finally you catch your breath while hugging and gently stroking my sides. Finally, you lift your head and look at me, the dreamiest look in your eyes.

"You're amazing..."

B, you're gonna give me a swelled head. You nuzzle back down against me, and I feel your warm breath against my shoulder. Even that slight sensation makes me gasp then shiver, and you can feel it. You look up at me again, smiling sweetly.

"You want me?" with a little wink.

I push you onto your back, straddling your waist and smile down at you. My face is only inches from yours, as I speak.

"Girl, I'm so fuckin' hot for you. You have no idea what you're in for."

Time for you to go to school, my little B.

"Oh Faith. You really didn't have to. I mean...I didn't expect..."

"Did you really think I'd forget your birthday, B? Just shut up and open it ok?" Faith grinned eagerly as her girlfriend stared down at the brightly wrapped package in her lap.

Buffy reached down and tore the wrapping with her fingernails, tearing the paper off and discarding it. Then, opening the rectangular box she gasped. "Oh Faith. You're so sweet."

Buffy reached into the box and pulled out what was hidden inside. It was a roughly ten inch long wooden dowel, an inch in diameter and delicately tapered to a point, at one end. Buffy examined closer and saw the words: 'Mister Pointy Junior' engraved on the side in stylized italics. On top of that, it was even varnished and coated with a polished shine. It was beautiful.

"You shoulda seen the girl at the gift shop's face when I took it to have it engraved. She looked at me like I had three heads, or some shit." Faith said, grinning. "So you like it? I made it with my own two hands."

"I love it," Buffy said, smiling "and I love you." She reached out and hugged Faith, for all she was worth. When they finally separated, Faith spoke.

"Just do me a favor? Jab it right into preacher-man's eye for what he did to Xander, ok?" Buffy looked down at her gift, thinking over the occurrences of the past few weeks.

"You're incredible." Buffy said, smiling.

Faith just grinned, "And you're mine." she brought her girlfriend into a sweet kiss.

"Do you really think that we're ready for this?" Buffy asked, the subject still in the back of her mind. "The preacher I mean?"

"I know it. Let's kick his ass."

"I dunno, Buffy." Willow said, "Every locator spell that I've tried comes up dry. It's like this guy has some funky mojo, keeping him from being detected."

"I checked the mission." Spike said, coming in the door. Everyone looked up when he entered. "Ran into a couple of his whiny little cronies, but he's not held up there anymore. He's not that stupid."

"Well there's gotta be some way to track him down. As far as I know turning invisible ain't one of this guy's super powers." Faith paced back and forth across the Summers living room, restlessly as the rest of the gang peered over texts and old dusty books. Not exactly Faith's area of interest. After a while she decided to go out on the front porch and have a smoke.

She walked out of the living room toward the door, and just as she reached for the handle there was a knock. Who could that be? Faith hesitated for a moment and then opened the door.

She was pleasantly taken aback by who was standing there and smiled broadly.

"Angel..."

The vampire smiled back at her, or more accurately became a little less broody. That was as close to a smile as Angel liked to get.

"Thought you guys might need a little help," he said.

"Faith, who was at the...door...?" Buffy called. Her heart fell about a foot.

Everyone looked up as Angel walked into the living room. His classic black clothing and brooding demeanor were shining, imposingly, to all the Potentials who had never met or heard of him before. He stopped, placing his hands in his pockets.

"Hi." he said, noncommittally, to the room full of people.

Strangely enough, the first person to get up to meet him was Spike. The British vampire walked the few steps that separated him from his former mentor and stood facing him. You could have cut the tension with a knife.

"Uh-oh..." Xander quipped out.

Everyone sat staring in stark silence as the two stared each other down. Their eyes burned into each other, each sizing the other up. A few moments passed and something silent happened between them.

"Spike..." Angel nodded, his expression never changing.

"Angel." Spike returned the acknowledgement.

"You in on this fight?"

Spike gave him a slight smirk. "Yeah."

A few more moments passed. "Alright then." Then Angel moved around him and walked further into the room. Spike walked into the kitchen. They might be fighting together, and they might have had a mutual understanding but it didn't mean they had to be chummy.

Buffy and Angel sat on the back porch talking. They had been for quite some time.

"Somehow I always knew that Cordelia was the source of something evil." Buffy laughed.

Angel just smiled slightly at Buffy's joke and shook his head. "I can see you feeling that way."

They sat in an uncomfortable silence for a while. Buffy finally broke the time of silence.

"So why'd you come?"

"I figured you might need some help. Preventing an apocalypse seems to be our area of expertise, judging by our past experience." Angel still didn't meet her eyes. He couldn't.

Buffy put her hand on his shoulder, and if Angel's heart were functioning it would have skipped a beat. He felt the familiar warmth of Buffy's touch flood through him. He closed his eyes as old and familiar memories began to come back to him, and he forced them from his mind the best way that he could. But, finally he looked up into her eyes, and lost all his resolve.

"I'm glad that you're here," she said.

He leaned in close to her, and she felt his presence. She leaned into him, in response bringing her face close to his. Her first love. Their lips were close to each other, waiting to be explored. Then, suddenly Buffy pulled away.

"Angel...I can't." Tears were beginning to stream down her cheeks. "I can't. I'm with...someone."

She ran into the house, leaving Angel alone on the back porch. She rushed into the house, pushing past Faith who tried to stop her and find out what was wrong. Once upstairs she shut the door and collapsed on their bed, sobbing.

Faith walked out the backdoor and onto the porch where Angel still sat, and stared at him angrily waiting for him to meet her gaze.

"What the hell did you do to my girl?"

Faith stood outside their bedroom door for a few minutes, listening to Buffy cry. She didn't exactly know how to approach her girlfriend, so she just stood there with her own heart sinking from hearing Buffy in pain.

Taking a chance, she opened the door quietly and her heart fell even more. She went to the bed and took Buffy in her arms. Holding her and stroking her hair, whispering "Shh...it's ok, B. It's ok."

"F-Faith, don't hold me. I don't deserve it." Buffy said through the tears that were streaming down her cheeks. "I'm the worst girlfriend ever."

"Angel told me what happened...", Faith whispered to her "I...dunno how to say this..."

Buffy looked up at her, eyes pleading, "I'm sorry Faith! I'm so sorry! We were just talking and then we...and I haven't dealt with alot of stuff. You're my..."

Faith just smiled shaking her head. Finally she reached out and clamped her hand firmly over Buffy's mouth.

"Mmph?"

"Buffy, would you shut that cute little mouth of yours, for five friggin' seconds, and let me finish?"

"Mmph?"

"Good."

Faith stood up and stood in front of Buffy, holding both of her hands in her own. Buffy was still looking down at the floor.

"B, look at me." the blonde finally looked up at her girlfriend. "What you did outside. Nobody ever did anything like that for me."

Buffy's brow furrowed and she wiped her cheek on the back of one of her hands. "What do you mean?"

"Don't you get it? You chose me, over someone else. Especially someone who means as much to you as Angel does. Nobody ever did that...ever." Faith smiled down at her. "If I had even one doubt in my mind, it's gone now. I love you, B."

Buffy started to tear slightly, once more. Faith knelt in front of her, cupping the older girl's face in both hands. The dark Slayer grinned.

"Now don't start that weepy shit again." She brought the blonde into a long, tender kiss. Buffy felt her mood lighten, finally. Faith was hers. She still loved her, and that was all that mattered.

"I love you, Faith. And I really am sorry that I freaked. I just thought..."

"Shut up girl" Faith said, grinning ",and just hug me, ok?"

"Oh, Faithy."

Faith was in the kitchen. It was 2 a.m., and she had left Buffy asleep to come down for a snack. She opened the refrigerator and began poking around for something that looked interesting. Baloney, half a head of lettuce, and wow...more baloney. Pretty sparse pickings. Damn these teenage bitches could eat. Guess that makes my decision for me, she thought.

She grabbed the package of processed lunchmeat and turned from the fridge to look for some bread, when she was surprised by the dark figure standing directly behind her. Her hand shot out reflexively, knocking the figure backward a few paces. Then, she took a defensive stance.

Angel stumbled back, stopped by the kitchen counter. He threw up his hands in a mock pose of surrender and gave a slight smirk. "Whoa, Faith! It's just me, calm down."

Faith took a deep breath. "Whew. Geez Angel don't you ever get tired of sneaking up on people? I know that's the way you dark guys like to make and entrance, but you can get hurt surprising people like that."

"Yeah, well I've had my own share of surprises today." Angel regained his composure and walked over to the kitchen table, pulling out a chair for Faith and then sitting down, himself. Faith finished making her sandwich and sat in the chair Angel had provided for her.

"Sorry about the whole 'woman scorned' routine I played on ya earlier." ,she said between bites. " I tend to jump first and ask questions later when I see Buffy hurt."

"Hey don't worry about it. Water under the bridge. I can't say whether or not I'd do any different if I were in your place."

Faith continued to munch on her sandwich while Angel got up and looked into the fridge for one of the bottles of cow's blood that Buffy kept for Spike in the bottom drawer. Twisting off the top he said, "If he asks tell him I'll pay him back."

He sat back down.

"Thanks for understanding, A." Faith said "Most people in your spot would be kinda wigged out."

Angel smiled taking a drink.

"I can't say that I wasn't surprised. Not nearly as surprised as I was to find out what happened between her and Spike, mind you." He shook off the ickies of that thought. "I mean, I just never thought that you were..."

"Gay? I'm not. It's Buffy...and only her." she smiled, looking down at her plate.

Angel sat back in his chair. "That makes sense, in a way."

They sat in silence a while longer, before Angel finally spoke. "Buffy seems really happy."

Faith looked over at him, as he continued. "You seem to be good for her. Look, I gave up on anything real between us a while ago. But, when I see her it still cuts me inside. I'm sorry about before. I didn't know about you and her."

"S'ok, Angel. I'd be weird around her too. You and me got too much history for me to hold that against you. Nothin' really happened anyway."

"So what about this evil preacher guy? From what I hear he's pretty tough."

"Yeah, I'd be six feet under if it weren't for B. He's a badass. He's got some type of healing power too. Everytime I hit him, he seemed to heal right away."

Angel thought a while. "I've seen a few like that. Usually you need to do so much damage that it's catastrophic. Regeneration can't handle that. Come to think of it, you guys still have a tactical advantage over him."

"What's that?"

"He still thinks you're dead."

Faith grinned. "Yeah, you're right. The only thing we need to worry about is how to find his ass."

"Hey. No fair." the two heard Buffy's voice from the kitchen doorway. "You guys are having midnight yummies without me."

Faith got up from the table, smiling. "Hey sweetie. I didn't know you were awake. Everything ok?"

"No." Buffy said, still rubbing the sleep from her eyes, as her lover hugged her. "I'm mad at you. I woke up alone, and I need my late night snuggles."

"You little cutie." Faith smiled, her arms still around Buffy's waist. "Alright then, let's go see about those snuggles ok?"

Faith took Buffy's hand and began to lead her up the stairs, as Angel just looked on. He was satisfied and glad that Buffy was happy.

Then the loud crash.

They all heard the shatter of glass and sprung immediately to action mode. The front window had exploded inward, and the girls immediately ran a few steps forward to see two Uber-Vamps standing in front of the couch in the Summers living room. They growled and stood in their feral manner, advancing slowly.

"Angel !" Faith called, "I don't think finding him is a problem anymore…"

The girls stood their ground as the two Turok Han advanced slightly and then stopped. They held their positions in standoff until the two ancient beasts flanked out slightly. Undaunted, Faith began to advance when she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't." Angel told her. "Back up until I call for you. Trust me, Faith."

Faith reluctantly backed up, giving in to Angel's instincts, and the vampire took place next to Buffy. They squared off with the monsters and Faith faded into the background. She was tense and ready. All of their adrenaline stores dumped into their systems as they prepared for battle.

Then, between the two grotesque beasts, the demure preacher stepped through the front window. He stepped off of the couch and stood between the two creatures, which were like leashed dogs at his side. Caleb stood and smiled almost sweetly. If one didn't know the evil that lay beneath, they would see nothing more than a modest and non- assuming priest. But, by now, he had proven himself much different.

"Hello Buffy." he smiled, then looked to the vampire at her side. "Angel...if I'm not mistaken that is. Nice to meet you. The Master has told me much. It's too bad that we won't have the opportunity to know each other better before you die."

Then the preacher's smile changed. It was now malicious and feral. "Kill everyone." he said, with a wave of his hand, and the two beasts sprang to attack. Buffy and Angel stepped into defensive stances as the beasts advanced quickly. Angel struck out and caught one with a backfist then a punch that knocked the beast back a step, but it still advanced again.

Buffy hit the other demon with a hard sidekick, that momentarily startled it. Then the beast struck back and sent her spiraling to the ground. She rolled to her back and kipped up to her feet, immediately striking back. The creature recovered immediately, rolling into Buffy in an effort to knock her off balance.

Caleb calmly sat down upon the couch in the Summers living room, watching the battle play out. Actually he was, indeed, watching. But he sat for a different reason. As soon as he had entered the house, he suddenly felt weakened. Not much, but still slightly woozy. What in the name of the Master was going on? The strength that he had been granted by The First was enormous. However, he felt it wane upon closer proximity to this house.

So there he sat, keeping his composure, unwilling to let his opponents see even a moment's weakness. After all, the blonde Slayer's whore was dead. Who could harm him now?

Willow awoke to the sound of the breaking glass. What the...? She sprang from her bed, jarring Kennedy awake with the sudden movement.

"Something's wrong!" Willow said to her sleepy lover, instantly knocking her into the rush that Kennedy always felt when a fight was near. The redhead ran from their room, motioning for Kennedy to follow and banging on every door as she ran down the hall to the stairway and waking all of the Potentials.

It was time to fight.

Faith was in the kitchen, itching like hell to get in on this fight. Her moment was coming soon. From her vantage point she could see Caleb but he couldn't see her. Bastard, she thought. What the hell can I... Her eyes fell upon the keys to Angel's car. They were sitting on the counter, next to the blender that Dawn used to make her chocolate pancake and ice-cream milkshakes.

Did he bring it? Maybe, if she was lucky.

Remembering Angel's earlier words to her, she decided that it was worth a chance. She snagged up the keys and bolted out the back door, running toward the spot where Angel had parked his '68 Plymouth Belvedere.

Angel backed up a step, as his opponent advanced on him throwing wild and ferocious kicks at his face and body. He knew what he was facing, and was wary of it. The Turok Han was the ancient predecessor to the vampire. It was stronger, faster and more ferocious. But was it smarter? Angel was determined to find out. The vampire with a soul kicked the beast as it drew back for its next strike, then he was surprised with a leaping kick to the chest. Angel flew back and into the china cabinet, breaking the glass and shattering wood.

Buffy struck furiously at the Turok Han, trying desperately to gain any advantage to get to her weapons chest. In there would be what she needed to defeat these beasts. So that is where she needed to position herself. The normal weapons she used to defeat vampires would not be enough.

Willow descended the stairs, hearing doors open intermittently behind her. The girls were awake, so she knew she had some back up. But it was she who needed to do something, right this moment.

Hitting the bottom step, she saw the two Turok Han battling with Buffy and Angel. More importantly, she saw the preacher sitting contentedly on the couch, gleefully watching the battle. Where was Faith?

"Careo pravus creatura..." she spat, extending her hands and blasting scarlet energy into the First's servant. Caleb flew backward, lifted up and out of the house, from the force of the spell that he normally would have been able to block. He landed on his back and rolled to his feet.

"Silence girl..." he pointed at her, silencing Willow's chants and magic.

Willow moved further toward the front window, her eyes flickering like black obsidian. The First's preacher realized that his spell had not worked.

"Crusta vobis!" the Wiccan spat at him, finishing her banishing of evil and creating a barrier that Caleb could not penetrate around the Summers house.

No matter, Caleb thought. My minions will do the job for me.

Kennedy and the other Potentials descended the stairs, suddenly feeling a surge of power through them as they reached the first floor landing. It was as if Willow's spell had not only banished evil, but also empowered the good within its circle of influence.

Tiffany rushed for the chest of weapons that Buffy kept in the small space between the living room and kitchen, and Kennedy grabbed a knife to stab at the beast that had just knocked Angel on his ass. Seeing her coming, the ancient creature lashed out with its claws and raked across Kennedy's chest sending her stumbling into the dining area.

Buffy scrambled to her feet again and sprinted toward the creature, only to be stopped by a Potential's call.

"Buffy! Here!" she turned in time to see Tiffany toss a double-edged sword in her direction. In one fluid motion the Slayer caught the weapon and struck in the direction of her opponent.

The beast's head separated from its shoulders and fell mere moments before its entire body exploded to dust.

Faith scrambled with the keys, finally finding the right one to fit into the trunk of Angel's car. Opening it, she began to throw items from it at random to search for what she was looking for. Finally, she laid her hands upon it.

I fuckin' knew it, she thought.

She grabbed the item and ran back toward the front window, from which the preacher had just been thrown. This could be it.

Caleb stood to his feet and suddenly felt himself getting weaker, even more so than before. He dizzily swooned before regaining his footing. What was happening to him? His connection to the First, that gave him his power was beginning to grow increasingly thinner. Somehow his power was being robbed from him.

Then Buffy attacked him.

Faith quickly closed the distance between herself and the two combatants. C'mon B, she said in her own mind. We can beat him. Together we're stronger than him, remember?

Buffy struck Caleb with the hilt of her sword and then took a slice at him. Caleb avoided the sword strike. But, he was slower than usual. Without both of his Turok Han, he would have to retreat.

"Kennedy, no!" Willow screamed as her hair turned black to match her eyes, and bluish energy surged to the beast that had just damaged her girlfriend. Willow wasn't about to let another lover fall. Not if she could help it.

The energy arcs leapt from Willow's eyes to the Turok Han, consuming and reducing it to ash. The anger that was in her was colossal. The darkness took over for a moment, and the feel of it coursing through her enraptured Willow.

Then suddenly, waking her out of her reverie, she felt Kennedy's arms. Holding her, thanking her. Tears were streaming down the young brunette's face, proving that she wasn't as hardened as she made herself out to be.

The witch, who was once again a redhead, sat holding her lover until it was all over.

Caleb avoided another sword swing and grabbed Buffy by her throat. He smiled as he squeezed her throat and lifted her from the ground. The blonde Slayer gasped for air and kicked at the First's minion who only continued to smile at her. As her vision began to get fuzzy Buffy saw Faith running toward the house, and the closer she got to the front porch the lighter the grip on her throat became. She was able to breathe again and lashed out hard at Caleb's groin with her foot.

He dropped her grunting in pain, and his strength faltered. Not only did Caleb find himself robbed of the strength to hold the girl, he was finding it difficult to even stand. That difficulty grew to impossibility when Buffy snap kicked him under the chin.

Slowly, the dark priest picked himself up to a kneeling position, seeing a pair of black leather boots ascend the steps and step onto the front porch. He looked up to see the face of the dark Slayer who only smiled at him.

"You...?"

"Hey Hellcat." Faith said. "Remember me?"

Then it dawned on him. This was his downfall. His strength hadn't been robbed from him. It had been shielded from him. The connection of the Slayer bloodline was weakening his own connection to his master.

"Damn you." he spat. "Damn both of you to hell..."

"Aww, you still mad about our little tiff? I'm sorry we can't still be friends. But, it's better to make a clean break." She leveled the shotgun, resting its barrel on Caleb's nose. It was the same shotgun that Angelus had threatened to kill her with, back in LA.

Caleb said not another word, he only looked up into the eyes of the woman who was about to kill him.

Then Faith pulled the trigger, separating the evil servant's head from his shoulders.

"So where are we going, baby?" Faith asked.

Buffy was busily searching through her closet, tossing clothes here and there. "It's a surprise." Was the only answer she had given.

After alot more prodding, Faith finally resigned herself to the fact that Buffy wasn't going to crack on this one. She'd just have to wait and see. So Faith got up from the bed that they shared, gave her girlfriend a quick peck on the cheek, and went downstairs to wait.

"Fuck!" Buffy exclaimed, throwing clothing from her closet to the floor.

"It's ok, Buffy." Willow said. She sat on the bed just watching her friend, more than a little amused. It wasn't like Buffy to be so nervous. "I'm sure Faith will love whatever you wear."

"No!" Buffy said, still searching for the outfit she wanted. "Everything has to be perfect. This is our first night out together since she's been back. All we've done since she got here is slay and screw. Not that I mind either of those things, but still."

Willow gave her a knowing smile and waggled her eyebrows.

"Can we even be a real couple, Will?" Buffy asked, as she finally laid her hands upon the dress she wanted. "Aha! I knew you were in there!"

Willow's brow furrowed. "Of course you can. You guys are great together. Why would you even say something like that?"

"I dunno. " Buffy said, as she slipped her jeans off and began to pull the blue, skin tight, mini-dress on. "How do I know how to act around her? Should I be shy? Maybe cocky. No, no…not cocky. She might find that threatening..."

Willow stood up, put her hands on her friend's shoulders, and smiled. "Buffy...duh! She loves you. Just be Buffy for crying out loud. Besides, all the rest of us are gonna be there. We'll be your rousing moral support artillery."

"Ok..." Buffy smiled and continued to get ready.

"How the fuck do I know what I'm s'posed to do, Runt?" Faith said as she paced back and forth across the living room floor. "I've never been on a real date before."

"Faith calm down. You guys have been back together for a month now, and you still don't know what to do? C'mon..." Dawn smiled in serious amusement. Was this the same girl that she had gotten to know over the past four weeks?

"I know that! Don't you think I know that? Fuck!" Faith sighed heavily and sat down.

Both Dawn and Kennedy were downstairs with her, listening to her rant. Kennedy sat next to her.

"Hey. Don't you think that everyone sees how hot for each other you guys are? Don't worry about it girl..."

Faith reached out and gave Kennedy a quick pat on the leg. "I know. I'm just all nervous...shit, I don't even know why."

Faith's breath caught in her throat, and at that moment she knew exactly why she was so nervous. Buffy was standing at the base of the stairs, in her blue dress and black high heels. Her makeup was expertly applied as just a hint of navy blue above each eye.

Faith stood and crossed the room, bringing her girl into a soft embrace. She was still searching for words. "B...you look...I mean..."

"Shhh..." Buffy smiled. "You look great. Is everyone else ready to go?"

"This was your big surprise, B? The Bronze?"

"Just shut up, ok?" Buffy told her. "I've got this all planned out."

Buffy giggled and took Faith into the club, paying the cover charge and leading the brunette through rows of tables and chairs toward the main area of the club.

As Buffy led her girlfriend out onto the dance floor, she gave a nod and wink to the guest DJ, and he started the song that Buffy had arranged for him to play. Expertly mixing it in, the music gradually changed to 'Chinese Burn'. Buffy began to dance to the music, and her brunette companion wasn't long to follow.

"It's our song." Faith winked, as she began to move her body in time with the fast rhythm. Only then did she see the entire gang watching them from the tables that outlined the dance floor. Gradually they all filtered into the dance floor. Xander and Anya, who seemed to be getting along surprisingly well. Willow and Kennedy weren't far behind. Even the Potentials spread out onto the floor, finding dance partners where they could.

The two Slayers moved together under the multi-colored lights that streamed from every direction and reflected off the dance floor. They were slaves to the music and totally lost in each other.

When the song ended and mixed into the beginning of another, Faith noticed something from the corner of her eye.

"B, you wouldn't mind if I danced with someone else would you? Just for this song, ok?"

Buffy gave her a sly wink. "Don't be too long, ok?"

"I won't be."

Faith moved across the floor, wading through the sea of people who were beginning to get into the rhythm of the current song. She pushed her way past more than a few dancers, before taking Tiffany's hand. The blonde had been sitting alone at her table, nursing a drink.

"Hey girl..." Faith took the blonde's hand and led her out onto the floor and began to move her body against her blonde counterpart's. Tiffany wasn't sure what was going on, but she was sure that she liked whatever it was. Though she knew that she shouldn't be this excited by the presence of the dark Slayer, the movement of the brunette's body was eliciting some undeniable responses from her.

"What are you doing?"

"Me?" Faith answered into her ear, her voice nothing more than a ragged whisper. "I'm dancing. What about you?"

Tiffany was moving in rhythm with Faith and the music. This was like a dream for her, and her body responded more so than she would have liked. Add to that the slight buzz of the alcohol, and she was in heaven.

"Why are you doing this? You're...ow!" The blonde jumped as Faith pinched her.

"I ask the questions, from now on. Understand?" Tiffany only nodded in acknowledgement. The surreal eroticism that the younger girl saw in the eyes of the Slayer was unlike anything she'd ever been close to. She felt herself begin to tingle, as Faith leaned closer.

"Are you excited?" she closed her eyes, feeling each small gust of breath as Faith spoke, and nodded again in supplication.

"Do you want it?" Faith whispered to her, as they moved together.

"Y-yesss..." the blonde stammered. She was so turned on just by the presence of the brunette that she had lusted over from afar that her body flushed and she felt the heat spread through her, all the way down to her center. What was Faith hoping to accomplish? Tiffany had kept her crush on Faith in check, as much as she possibly could. But now...

In the middle of her reverie, Tiffany felt Faith's hands on her shoulders spinning her around and holding her, back against front. Faith pointed across the floor, and Tiff followed her finger all the way across the room to little Vi who sat swaying to the beat. The shy redhead was oblivious to everything but the swirling lights and music.

"There's your girl..." Faith whispered to the blonde.

Tiffany looked over her shoulder at the brunette who was holding her around the waist. "Really?"

"Oh yeah..." Faith said into her ear, so that she could hear over the loud music. "I've seen the way she looks at you. Go and get her, girl."

With that Faith shoved the young blonde in Vi's direction, and Tiffany continued to walk toward the redhead. Tiffany was licking her lips seductively, and Violet caught her gaze.

The smaller girl's eyes grew wide, when she saw the look of pent and restrained desire in her fellow SIT's eyes. She pointed to herself and looked to either side. Was Tiffany really looking at her like that?

Tiffany just nodded her head in acknowledgment as she closed the distance between them. Vi felt her heart beat hard against her chest, as the blonde got closer. Then she totally blanked out as Tiffany took her hand and led her to a darkened corner at the back of the club.

Strangely, noone saw either of them for the rest of the night.

Faith danced her way back to her girlfriend, running her hands through her hair and down her body. She finally stopped when she was in arm's length of Buffy and pulled the blonde to her and caressing her back.

"So what was that all about?" Buffy asked with a knowing smile.

"Oh nothing. I was just seeing if I still had my touch."

"Oh really?"

"Yup. I do, by the way. I can still turn 'em on, then turn 'em in any direction I want." the younger girl smiled as she continued to dance. After a few minutes she took her eyes off of Buffy and looked around. They were attracting an audience.

You people need to get out more, Faith thought. If a little girl on girl dancing was enough to get them all flustered, then they had better buckle up.

The next song started, and everyone's movement slowed. Willow put her hands gently on Kennedy's hips and swayed slowly to the music. Looking into the brunette's eyes, the witch saw something that she had hardly ever seen. Vulnerability.

How can you see into my eyes, Like broken doors? Leading you down into my core, Where I've become so numb?

The lovely redhead looked into the face of the girl that had shared her bed for the past 3 months. They had been an item for longer that Buffy and Faith, but Willow realized that there was a part of both of them that refused to let the other into their most intimate space. The part of themselves that was vulnerable to pain, hurt, and heartbreak. Kennedy played the aggressor all the time.

Without a soul, My spirit is sleeping somewhere cold. Until you find it there in me, And lead it back home.

Meanwhile, Willow didn't play any role, in their relationship. She had merely been the willing partner in the lashing out of pent up fear and loneliness. And after what the two of them had been through, the Wiccan knew that they both deserved much more.

The song picked up its pace into a hard rhythm and both girls separated. Their bodies rode the rhythm of the music, but their eyes never left the other's. Something that was both beautiful and invisible began to pass between them.

Wake me up inside. Wake me up inside. Call my name and save me from the dark. Bid my blood to run, before I come undone. Save me from the nothing I've become.

Never breaking eye contact, the brunette mouthed the three words that she had never been able to say aloud. She punctuated them with a nervous smile and a wink. Willow's eyes grew wide for a moment and her heart skipped. Then her features softened into a glowing smile.

Willow usually preferred her naughtiness behind closed doors, but at this moment she didn't care if they were in public or not. She launched herself into Kennedy's arms and kissed her, almost knocking the younger girl off balance.

Willow had accomplished something that few people, under her circumstances, ever do. She was able to love someone, again.

Frozen inside without your touch, without your love darling. Only you are life among the dead.

"So what are you guys gonna do now?" Spike asked as he filled his own shot glass. Then he filled both Angel's and Giles', in turn. The three had been sitting at a table together for sometime, seeing who would pass out first.

"Going back to L.A." Angel said as he brought the glass to his lips. "I figure I've done all I can here."

"Oh yeah...Mister Good Deeds. I almost forgot." the blonde vampire quipped, watching Giles drink his own and then following their lead.

"Hey, don't knock what you don't know. From what I hear, you're all soul-having now, too. " Angel said, as he reached for the bottle. "There's a lot to be said for redeeming yourself."

Giles just watched the two vampires bantered back and forth, and he reached for the bottle himself. It was a party after all, and he was beginning to be very amused by the two commiserating ex-demons.

"Redemption?" Spike asked, drinking another shot. "Look, Angel. You need to realize that the demon inside you...it ain't you. Whatever it did, you weren't in control."

"Hell yes, I was!" Angel retorted as he brought the shot glass to his mouth again. Draining it, he said "You think that the demon is capable of anything that you weren't as a person? The only difference is that, as a human, you had a conscience to control your impulses. Those things that you did as a vampire...they never would have manifested if they hadn't been in your mind already."

Spike sat for a while, mulling over what he had been told. After a while, and a few more drinks, he finally spoke.

"Do you want any help? Helping people that is..."

Angel gave a small smirk, knowing he had gotten through to his fledgling. "Yeah. Sometimes it's all we can do to keep up."

They shook on it, and then returned to their own reveries.

"Well, I don't give a sod about either of you." Giles said, as he struck back his current glassful of alcohol. "I'm going back to England."

"B..." Faith whispered as she lifted her leg into her girlfriend's crotch. "We need to go home. I'm not gonna make it much longer..."

Buffy could feel the waves of her girlfriend's excitement, driving into her. And she knew that if she didn't get Faith home soon, then noone in the club would be safe. So, with a satisfied smile, the blonde Slayer led her lover out the door and back to their home.

The front door slammed open as Buffy pushed Faith through the threshold. She pinned her brunette lover's back against the wall and kicked the door closed with her foot. The blonde kissed her lover with all she had, running her hands along the beautiful prize that she held so close.

"Oh God, B. You're so wet. I can smell it." Faith gasped, her Slayer senses attuned to every sensation.

"You make me that way." Buffy said between kissing the younger girl's face and neck. They had barely made it home before without attacking each other with their hands. Their mouths. Eventually, they made the way upstairs and into their room. Faith was so excited, that Buffy was unsure of what she might do. She'd never seen her girl so turned on. But one thing was for sure. She'd love every minute of it.

A short time later, Willow put her key into the lock of the Summers home. She was only a little surprised to find it unlocked. Buffy and Faith had strangely disappeared from the Bronze a little over an hour ago. The redhead took Kennedy's hand and they walked into the front room, plopping down on the couch together.

The TV clicked on and they sat for a while, Willow's arms wrapped snugly around the younger girl who snuggled into her neck. Occasionally a loud bump or thud could be heard from the upstairs, and every time they would just look at each other and grin broadly.

Finally there was a muffled crash that made Willow jump and her eyes widen. Kennedy just laughed. "What are they doing up there?" Willow asked, knowing the answer but still surprised at the noise.

The brunette just gave her a sly wink and leaned close for a kiss. "Probably the same thing we could be doing down here."

They kissed slowly and passionately, Kennedy's pressure against Willow's body becoming more and more insistent, as she felt her lover's hands moving up her blouse. Willow cupped both breasts gently, enjoying the feeling of the fabric of Kennedy's bra covering her breasts. The heat spread from Willow's touch on her breasts down to her center, and she pressed closer demanding more contact.

Willow separated her lips from her lovely counterpart's, breathing harder and feeling her own excitement begin to bubble inside her. She kissed Kennedy's cheek then earlobe, whispering, "Ease up, Baby...we have all night."

Willow was going to bring the tender side out of this erotic vixen, yet.

The darker girl eased her aggression and pulled back, smiling at her lover. She was also a little embarrassed. "Sorry...I just want you so bad."

"Well you've got me, silly." Willow smiled sweetly "I'm right here for you. Now kiss me you little scamp." She brought Kennedy's face to her own and they kissed. Gently, sweetly. They explored each other's mouths with their own, moaning and melting into each other.

Willow peeled away her girlfriend's clothing. Unhooking her bra and letting it fall onto her own chest, then confidently unhooking the button on Kennedy's jeans and sliding them down slowly. Willow savored the softness of her lover's skin against her fingers as she slid the fabric over her buttocks and down her thighs.

The redhead pulled Kennedy closer to herself and put her mouth to her neck. Willow was alternating between soft kisses and long sensual licks along her throat and down her collarbone. She took one nipple into her mouth and fully tasted the salty desire that was running rampant through her young lover. Kennedy grasped behind Willow's head and moaned, feeling the heat run down into her core that only increased her excitement, which was already unbearable.

The pretty Wiccan finally pushed her lover back against the arm of the couch, hooking both arms under her and slipping down the blue panties that the brunette wore. Willow kissed sweetly just above the younger girl's center. Kennedy's back arched as she moaned loudly, needing Willow's touch so intensely.

Ok, Kennedy thought. You go first tonight. That's a switch...Oh God! Her lover's tongue moved into her and found the sweetest place, immediately. Willow knew just how to touch her, how to kiss her. She was incredible. Kennedy opened her eyes and looked down at the beautiful face between her legs. Just the sight made her whimper.

"Oh...Will..." her hips bucked roughly against her lovely girl's face, as she felt her climax rip through her. Her body contorted into a dance of pleasure, and her head swam in a whirlwind of thoughtless bliss.

Finally she came back to earth, gasping for breath and smiling up at her lover's beautiful face. She wrapped her arms around Willow and brought her body down onto her, holding close while her orgasmic high subsided.

"I love you, Willow." she smiled up into the redhead's face. The woman who had proven herself so incredible and brought her so much joy. "That's only the second time I've ever said that..."

She gently pushed Willow back onto the couch and kissed her again. Her hands moved to the peasant blouse she wore. She kissed at each spot where she opened a button, feeling the familiar arch of Willow's body against her mouth. Stopping at the bra line she took a nipple into her mouth and suckled her beautiful lover, bringing Willow higher as she slipped a hand between her legs.

Kennedy's hand slipped into the waistband of Willow's open jeans and cupped her shaven mound. She found the redhead's center wet, and she slowly massaged the length of her opening. Teasing Willow just above the very center of her need.

Willow was so excited. Every touch that Kennedy made upon her sex seemed to jolt a small but sweet moan from her mouth. They held each other tightly as Kennedy worked her into frenzy.

Kennedy moaned around Willow's nipple as she slowly slipped a finger into her lover. The redhead bucked in approval, when her need was finally met.

"Oh...Kennedy...oh my God!"

Willow gasped. She hadn't felt this way in so long. Her back arched as the young brunette slipped in and out of her, bringing her higher toward her release. The feeling of Kennedy's mouth on her breast was intoxicating. The orgasm hit her like a lightning bolt, running through her and making her muscles clench around Kennedy's fingers. She wasn't sure whether she cried out. She usually did but wasn't sure.

When Willow finally caught her breath, Kennedy was wrapped around her. She had pulled a blanket over them both and snuggled against her breast.

Neither bothered to go upstairs to their bed. It didn't matter. They were so comfortable here, and with each other that they drifted off to sleep. Both of them in the grasp of sweet dreams.

Their clothing was lost within moments of closing the bedroom door. Hands were exploring and mouths were kissing. They flowed over each other like liquid fire that could be quenched by nothing but each other.

"Oh my God, Buffy..." Faith breathed while being pushed back against their bedroom wall, feeling the desire that had built in her, over the course of the night. She reversed the momentum and pushed Buffy back onto the bed and climbing on top of her.

-CRASH-

Damned lamp, Faith thought. How'd that get in my way?

Faith pressed her body against her beautiful lover, covering her with kisses down her chin and onto her breasts. Sucking a nipple into her mouth, she dragged her teeth across it, making Buffy's body spasm in delight.

"Oh Faithy.." Buffy said. The comment was to no one but herself, as Faith was the only girl she dreamt of. The only person who could ever bring her the sensation she was feeling. Her eyes were pressed tight and her back arched when she felt the finger inside her. She was so wet that it went in easily.

Faith was sliding in and out of her. Kissing her. Buffy climaxed for the first time as a complete surprise. She didn't even know it was coming, but it shook through her and left her gasping. She brought Faith's lips to her own, kissing and begging her lover for more.

"I love you, Faith." Escaped from her lips, as her lover traced a line around her nipple and down her belly toward her center. Faith pressed her mouth against her mound and probed for entry into her. Oh my, Buffy thought. You're incredible.

Faith's tongue slid delicately into Buffy's folds, tasting the desire that she had built up in her girlfriend. Then Faith pressed her fingers to Buffy's lips, who accepted and licked every bit of her own arousal from them.

Oh my God, Buffy thought. Why am I so turned on at tasting myself? Is it because Faith is tasting me at the same time? Oh…oh...fuck!

Buffy whimpered as the second orgasm hit her. She spasmed under Faith's tongue, over and over again, until finally she caught her breath and looked down at the woman that was grinning up at her from between her thighs.

Faith was so good. And the worst thing was that she knew she was good. She was smiling up at her with a light sheen of girl-cum on her face. Oh hell, Buffy thought. She's going to know... As much as they had been together, Buffy still didn't want to concede total control. But deep inside, she knew that she belonged to Faith, body and soul. Finally Buffy conceded to her fate.

I'm her girl, Buffy thought to herself. I'm her fucking slave. She giggled between moans while Faith kissed a line up her well-satisfied body, lingering over her stomach and running circles around her belly button with her tongue. Buffy felt light kisses on her abdomen as Faith's fingers slipped into her again. The raven haired Slayer was insatiable tonight, working inside her and building her up to that point again.

She couldn't possibly...

"Please Faith..." Buffy gasped as she felt her lover's fingers still working inside her. "I...I can't. Not again."

"Please baby. Just one more...just for me?" The blonde felt Faith's breath heavy on her skin as she spoke, and the darker girl continued to work on her dripping sex. How could she deny Faith? The brunette covered Buffy's nipple with her mouth and flicked it with her tongue, bringing her screaming over the edge one last time.

They lay together for a while, their bodies a tangle of sweaty limbs. Faith's arousal was still unmet, but she held close to her lover listening to her breath return to normal. She slowly stroked her own sex, giving herself some slow stimulation to stave off her need. Her hips bucked lightly.

Looking down, Buffy pushed Faith's hand away from her sex and replaced it with her own. Kissing her, tasting the salty sweat on her lover's lips. She tried to take the lead, pushing Faith back and straddling her. Faith would have none of it. She was in charge tonight.

The dark Slayer reversed Buffy's momentum and landed them both on the floor with a loud thud. They laughed and Buffy smiled up at her. "You vixen..." she said.

Faith only answered by kissing her deeply and climbing slowly up her body. Straddling Buffy's shoulders and holding her head, she positioned her sex just above her mouth. The blonde Slayer wasted no time bringing her mouth to Faith, devouring every single drop of her wetness then centering on her clit.

"Oh fuck...B..." It was no time at all before Faith was bucking her hips against her lover's face. She was riding each sensation that Buffy was willing to give, surfing the wave of pleasure. Finally she reached shore.

They dragged themselves into bed, curling around each other, both slayers completely surrendered to each other and drifted into the land of dreams.

Whatever happened from this day forward, they were together and they could handle it. No matter what.

Outside the house, the First Evil stood.

It was ages old and uninterested in the sexual dealings of humans or Slayers. However, it did note the essence of the connection that was taking place within the house. It was strong. Incredibly so.

Love.

It laughed, feeling its own folly. Two Slayers, their bloodline connection, and holding the power of love. How could it have looked past this possibility that had led to its own defeat?

Oh well, the ancient being thought. I'll train another prophet. Give me time girls. Give me time.

The End
