Summary: How Faith and Buffy spend Valentine's Night.

Part 1

Faith DeMarco couldn't make up her mind if she was having a good time, or a crappy one.

She had finished patrolling the graveyards, and had headed to the Bronze to blow off some steam. But it didn't seem like much steam was going to be leaving her tonight. She was kicking back at one of the tables, looking around at the over-decorated club. Hearts, pink and red, were everywhere. The bartenders were wearing white shirts with little red hearts all over them. Pink streamers and garlands were hanging from like everywhere.

Valentine's Day.

Normally, by this time, Faith would be on the dance floor, tearing it up, and shaking it down. Really making the scene, and catching the eye of like every hottie, male or female, in the joint. But not tonight.

Tonight, every one was so… couple-y. So damned 'lovey-dovey'. It almost made her want to puke. Whatta joke.

So here she was, sitting at one of the tables, mocking the whole thing.

"God, whatta hoot. What're these brain-deads thinking, anyway? Valentine's day. Some stupid holiday made up by candy makers and greeting card companies to rip ya off for yet more money. Like any of this crap is real. Outta have a "ValenLust Day" cause that's really all it is. Some idiots get all gooey and soft headed, pretend like they are all gaga over someone they're with… probably to get into their pants…then boom, week later, its bye bye baby. All done now. Had our fun, now take a hike.

And the dip wads fall for it every year. Well, they deserve it for being bubble brains."

"Don't get me wrong. I like a lil lovin' too, ya know. I like to do the horizontal bop, get all nice and hot and sweaty. But man, I'm real about it, at least. I mean, I don't expect the "moon, June" crooning crap. Me, just give me a hot honey, let me ride the waves, then bye, bye. Ya know? Get in get some and get out. This "Oh, my god, I love you" crap…vomitsville. I mean, really? C'mon…men are dogs, and girls bitches. It's all about the heat, baby. Make the heat, then move on. Works for me, anyway."

I guess Faith's point of view is understandable, taking it from her experience. Everyone she's loved, or said loved her, has beaten her, or raped her, or left her. So, what's she supposed to think? Somewhere, however, under every cynic beats the heart of unexpressed romantic. But not Faith…uh, uh…not her. She don't play that game.

Faith does a 360 around the joint, looking at the couples. Her eyes come to rest on a table opposite hers across the dance floor. Buffy and her "Scooby" Gang are there( god, what a dorky name…Scoobies…like, being modeled after a buncha cartoon characters is some kinda honor…puhlease!). Willow is with Oz, don't they just look so cozy. And Xan-man is with that bitch, Cordelia. God, talk about total mismatch. Hmmm…what's this? Our little blondie is all by herself. Oh, boo hoo… what? Couldn't find a date, girlfriend? Boys scared you'll break their arm if they get fresh. Ha! Seems little Ms. Perfect is in loserville tonight.

Talk about loserville, what am I still doing in this Mayberry by the sea, anyway? I mean…if I were in a decent sized town, like L.A. or San Fran, at least there'd be more than one fucking club to go to. Probably find one I could dance at. But this town? Geeze, lucky they have one. And besides here, what's there to do? Nada. Zip. Nothin'. What? Hang at the Espresso Pump. Ya, that's gonna happen. Wander the streets? That takes like 5 minutes. So what do ya do? Die of boredom, if a vamp doesn't get ya first. So, other than here, my big thrill is goin' back to my room with a six pack (thank god for fake I.D. or I'd be climbing the walls) and watch some crappy show on the 'snowy' black and white they got in that roach infested hole they laughing call a motel room…or struggle to get that busted VCR to work so I can watch some tape. Oh yeah, this is the life for me!

So, Faith, what's the haps? Why you still here, anyway? Why don't you get your oh so cute hot lil ass outta this burg, find a real city, and do your thing? Gotta be better than this gig.

Yet, Faith sits there, not moving. She thinks about a picnic she had a couple months back. With Buffy. How Buffy had woken her, pissed her off…then surprised the hell outta her with a new(and totally cool) outfit. And a picnic lunch. And that view. And…those tiny little kisses. That somehow, hard as she would try, Faith couldn't put out of her mind. How they had been…for that day, at least, like buds.

Ya, right. What a load. B. was probably bored outta her mind, and just took pity on the poor lil slayer. So what if she went to a lotta trouble. I mean, did I ask her to? God, if she wants to play Suzy Homemaker, fine. But just don't ask me to buy into that routine.

Faith is getting up, just about ready to go, disgusted with the whole lovey dovey Valentine's day crap going on, when the stool next to hers pulls out, and someone sits down. She looks over, and there is Buffy, sitting next to her, hands on the table. She throws Faith a little smile.

"Hey, Faith" Buffy says

"Heya B, what's the haps? Vampire? Demon? What? Might as well…nothin' happenin here tonight"

"No, nothin' like that, Faith. Just thought I come over and say hi" Buffy said, smiling a small smile.

"Well, ya did your social duty, B. Ya can go back to your buds now" Faith says, a bit cynically. Hey, what is this? Visit the loser night? Did I miss the memo?

Course, you're kinda a loser tonight too, aren't ya, B? Faith smirks.

"Aren't we kinda buds?" Buffy asks, her expression a little hurt.

Faith is about to make some smart remark, when she looks at Buffy's face. And somehow, she loses the heart to do it. So instead, she shrugs.

"Ya, sure. Why not. I guess we could be sorta buds" Faith says. God, now I'm wimpin' out here. Why do you do that to me, B?

Buffy's expression immediately brightens, and she flashes a big megawatt smile at Faith. Faith…despite herself, smiles back. What the fuck?

"Ahem" Buffy makes a throat clearing noise.

"Huh?" Faith looks at her. What's the deal?

Buffy clears her throat again…and looks at Faith, expectantly

What is her problem? I mean…what does she think I'm gonna get from that?

"What, B? Whatta ya want?" Faith asks, maybe a little too abruptly.

"Ummm…well…I was kinda hopin' maybe…" Buffy says, looking down, blushing a little.

God, she is so cute when she does that. Grrr. Faith…she's playin' ya. God, get a grip, already. Let 'er stew a bit.

"Yeah, B?" Faith says.

"Kinda hopin' maybe one person at this table might ask the other person to dance?" Buffy asks, looking at Faith. Her mouth has a cute little pouty half smile, and she's doin' the eyes thing.

God, that's so fucking unfair. She gets me every time with that look, and damn, she knows it too!!!! Damn.

"What's wrong, B? No other offers? Scrapin' the bottom now?" Faith asks, her natural defenses kicking in.

She immediately regrets it when she sees Buffy's face get a shocked little 'o' look, then harden.

"God, Faith. Just wanted a dance. Well… that was a mistake, huh?" Buffy hisses." Damn, sorry I bothered you"

Buffy gets up to leave, but Faith puts her hand on Buffy's arm. Buffy shakes it off, but Faith persists.

"B…god, I'm sorry. I… I guess I just don't believe you want to be here with me" Faith says, looking down at the table.

Buffy is royally pissed…and rightly so. That was a mean assed remark. She wants to just storm away. But she looks at Faith, and the girl looks so forlorn and …regretful, her anger softens. She reaches out, and runs a hand through Faith's curly black hair.

"Hey, dummy" Buffy says, still a little pissed. Faith looks up at her, contrite." Look, I'm not exactly dog food, ya know? I'm not unattractive. I could be with someone else if I wanted to. Probably. Maybe. Thing is, dope" Buffy says, getting a little confused "I kinda wanted to be with you. So, what? I made a mistake? Should I go?" Buffy finishes… just in time. It was getting close to babble time there.

Faith… is blown away. She …is just not getting all this. This isn't what she's used to. And she's used to being in the driver's seat. So… why is B doin this, anyway? Don't get it.

"Well, Faith? What's the answer? Stay, or go?" Buffy asks, getting a little impatient.

"Do you wanna go?" Faith asks. She doesn't want her to go. Big time, she doesn't

"Faith" Buffy says, gently." If I wanted to go, I'd be so gone by now" A small smile spreads on her lips.

Faith the cynic is whispering in her ear" Yeah, right, Faith. She wants somethin'" But Faith, the unexpressed romantic, so well hidden even Faith doesn't know she exists, finds her heart beating faster.

"Then, uhhh…stay? Please?" Faith says. Yeah, that's tellin' her faith. Now, beg nice puppy. Good girl. Wanna Milkbone?

Shut up!

Huh?

SHUT UP!

Ya, well, if you get hurt, it's your own fault, ya dope. God, you've gone soft in the head, girl.

Buffy smiles her megawatt smile, and Faith finds herself getting all tingly.

Oh, god, ya dork. She smiles at ya, and you get goofy.

SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!

Fine.

"Ummm…wanna dance, B?" Faith asks, feeling nervous all of a sudden. God, Girl, at least keep your cool.

"Thought you'd never ask, Faith" Buffy smiles broadly, and takes Faith's hand. They head towards the floor.

"Yeah…let's show these dorks how it's done" Faith grins.

One slayer on a dance floor is awesome to behold. Two are a Phenom. Almost from the start, they fell into each other's rhythm, so it looked like for all the world that they'd been dancing together for years. They not only knew each other's move…they knew each other moves three in advance. They started doing things together that usually takes years of practice. And everyone was so noticing. As the dance progressed, it became closer and much more sexual in nature. Their bodies moved into high gear, they were dancing like lovers and not as friends. The hips gyrating, the arm bumps, the hip bumps, the butt bumps, all were suggestive and totally sensual. Both were feeling the heat, and both lit the fire a little higher. Competition was normal for them. And they were so natural. The crowd around them, watching them dance, started chanting to encourage them on.

But the real thing, the really cool thing, was watching their joy in moving. They loved to move, and the loved to move together. There was a sheer sensuality, innocent and sexual at the same time, that just permeated the club. It was beyond dancing. It was like they were in each other's bodies, and they enjoyed the control they had on each other. It was more like a mating ritual than a dance ,and it was erotic. So erotic, in fact, it affected the other dancers around them, and it started to spread out. They had started a heat, a fire, and no one wanted to put it out.

Finally, the song ended. Buffy kinda nodded her head towards the Bronze's exit. She crooked her finger at Faith, and smiled a little flirty smile, saying how about joining me outside? Faith smirked, and thought "what, one dance and you think I'm whipped…please, girl….you aint THAT good". But, she was that good. As Buffy made her way towards the exit, Faith found herself following her. All the time looking for the invisible dog collar Buffy had attached to her.

When Faith exited the club, she found Buffy leaning against the wall. She was looking a bit flushed, and smiling. She saw Faith, and just said "Wow"

Faith, ever the cynic, said " Yeah, it was ok I guess". She smirked a little.

"Just ok ?" Buffy inquired. Seemed more than "ok" while they were doing it. And god, why am I feeling all tingly and hot?

"Yeah, well…maybe a little better than ok" Faith admitted." Couple hundred dance lessons, and you'll reach pretty good"

But Faith was lying, big time. She'd danced a lot in her time, but that was totally…hot. She got so turned on, but if you think she was gonna ever admit that to blondie, you're nuts, too.

"Well, I know I got a lil warmed up by it" Buffy said, her face still flushed.

Faith looked at her, and god she was just looking sooo sexy. Whoa, girl. Down. This is Ms. Girl Scout, remember? She probably bakes cookies for a hobby. But man, can she move…and damn, she looks hot…

Faith moves next to Buffy, and leans against the wall. She's feeling a bit dizzy, and doesn't have a clue why. Yeah, what IS that about, Girl?

Buffy smiles at her, and looks at the sky. Without warning, she takes Faith hand in hers , and squeezes it gently. Faith doesn't feel tingles this time…more like electric shocks. Shit…what's this about?

Buffy gets a small smile on her face, and her eyes get a little dreamy. She says, softly. " It's a pretty night out tonight"

Faith shrugs. " I guess, B."

"You don't know? I mean, it's clear. The stars are bright. The air is warm" Buffy's voice is soft, almost a sigh.

"Aw, geeze, B. I don't go in for that romantic crap. I mean…it's bogus" Faith says. Really? How come just holdin' her hand is getting you all fired up then, Faithy? Her inner voice mocks her.

It's not. Is. Is not. Is. Isn't. is.

Didn't I tell you to shut up?

Yeah, right. That's so gonna happen.

"Bogus? It's bogus?" Buffy asks, her face getting that little scrunchie wrinkle between her eyebrows.

"Yeah…its a sucker's game, B. Trust me" Faith says. So…how come your hearts beating like a trip hammer?

"So, if…ahhh…" Buffy starts, then she gets emboldened. She slips under Faith's arm, and slips her arm around Faith's waist, resting her hand on Faith's hip. " Someone were to do this, it means nothin'?" Buffy asks, looking at Faith.

"Yeah, nothing" Faith says. Liar.

"And if" Buffy says, leaning her head on Faith's shoulder, her breath lightly breathing on Faith's neck" She does this, that's nothing too?"

Dammit, B. Stop it. Damn…stop it, please. Oh god.

Faith looks at Buffy. Her eyes are warm, and inviting. Her lips are an inch away. And look wet. OH GOD, STOP IT. DON'T TEASE ME LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!!

"What are ya doin, B?" Faith breathes…realizing she'd stopped breathing for a second.

"Something I've wanted to do for a long time" Buffy breathes out. She puts her hand to Faith's cheek, and turns it. She kisses Faith, a soft, warm kiss…but with sufficient passion.

Faith…is on fire. Her lips spark and tingle, and her body's responding in a dozen ways. She pulls Buffy closer, and deepens the kiss…Buffy participating willingly.

The kiss lingers on, as their lips caress against each other. Slowly, reluctantly they break the kiss…but both suddenly need to breathe.

"What was that?" Faith pants out. She's totally in shock.

"I think they call it kissing" Buffy giggles, breathless herself.

"Yeah, smarty. I got that. Where did that come from?" Faith asks. Do I care?

"Here" Buffy takes her finger, and traces a line down Faith's chest, stopping at her heart.

Faith feels strong tingles everywhere. Everywhere!!!

"Buffy, this isn't a game" Faith says, her heart beating 1000 miles a minute. What the hell? What is she doing to me?

"No, it's not" Buffy says. She leans in, and whispers into Faith's ear, her hot breath tickling Faith in more than her ear." I want you, Faith. I want you badly. Don't you want me? Don't you like me?" Buffy asks, her voice low, sexy…and girlish.

Faith can't breath. She…is all confused, her mind is fighting her body. She wants her, god, she wants her. But …for some stupid reason, she wants to protect her. From herself.

"Buffy. Dammit, stop this now. You don't know me. I'm not some sweet thing you can play with. I'm bad, girl. I hurt people. I'm not innocent, and I'm not lovable. I'm a toy, and I use others like toys. So stop it. NOW!" Faith breaks away. She's upset, and her mind is reeling.

"Faith, please!" Buffy's voice is plaintive." Don't tell me you don't feel what I'm feeling. You'd be lying, I know it. I can feel it Faith. You feel it too."

Oh, god, I do…dammit, I do. This isn't possible! This DOESN'T HAPPEN TO ME!!! And ..fuck, it's so happening.

"B…please" Faith is pleading with her." God, I'm no good. Don't you get it? At this. I can't do this. I…" But Buffy stops her. She walks to Faith. She holds her.

"Shhh…baby, it's ok. It's ok" Buffy croons." Just love me. Just let your heart love me. That's all you need to do".

Faith is lost. She knows she's lost. How can she do this? Where did she get into my heart… Damn her to hell!!!

But, instead, Faith just kisses Buffy, putting all her feelings and passion into it, and Buffy responds, doing the same.

They're both lost, and found.

"Take me home Faith. Love me, Faith. Make me yours" Buffy breathes, her passion running hot.

"My place is a hole, Buffy" Faith breathes back, for the first time ashamed of her room.

"I'd take you home with me, baby, but mom might wonder at all the screams and moaning" Buffy giggles softly

Oh, god, Buffy. That's so damned unfair…and fucking making me want to take you right here!!!!

"Buffy…are you sure?" Faith asks. Giving Buffy one last out.

"More sure than I've ever been" Buffy says, closing the out.

They kiss once more, then walk down the alley, heading towards Faiths motel.

Part 2

Faith was nervous. Very nervous. And she couldn't understand why.

What was happening, being here, with Buffy, was outside anything she could believe could happen. As they walked towards Faiths motel, she kept checking. Making sure it really was Buffy. That it wasn't someone else she was just taking for a slap and tickle. But every time she looked, it was Buffy. Her head resting against Faith as they walked, her arm around Faith's waist. She saw those hazel-green eyes looking at her, shining with a warm affection. Her soft little sighs, how she would occasionally squeeze Faith's waist, as if to get even closer.

This is nuts. This aint happenin' I dunno what's goin' on, but it's gotta be a joke. I just waiting for someone to start laughin'

Blondie. Little Ms. Perfect Cheerleader. Little Ms. Girl Scout. Comin' on to me? What's that? It's gotta be a joke. The 'Scooby' gang is gonna be at the motel, and their gonna start howlin' Yeah.

Or this is a dream. I'm asleep. Gonna wake up in that crappy room, the TV showin' snow. Probably killed more than the usual beers, and I'm in some kinda hallucination. Man.

This isn't real. What happened at the club…aint real. None of this is real. Someone's trying to screw with my head. I don't get this. I just don't get this. Why now? Why would she be interested now? Why should she even care? We been like workin' together what? Few months now. Nothing. No sign that there was anything but she kinda put up with me. Ok, not entirely true. That picnic. Don't know what THAT was about , either. Still think she just got some kinda bug up her butt. Ya know? Pity the poor street chick.

Stop it Faith. That's not fair. She was real nice to you. She went outta her way to give you a nice time. And now your dissin' her? It doesn't make any sense. Whatta I got that she wants? No one does nothin' just to be nice. There's gotta be somethin' in it for her. But what? There's nothing I can give her. Not like she needs me to beat up the bullies for her. Hell, I seen her work. She could probably give me a few good licks. It aint my sparklin' personality, I know that. I'm gettin the setup, I know it.

Faith stops suddenly. Buffy looks at her, questions in her eyes.

"Ok, B, I wanna know. What's the deal? What's goin' on here?" Faith says, her voice full of suspicion.

"I don't understand?" Buffy asks, her face confused. What's wrong? What'd I do wrong?

"What's the joke, B? What's the setup? When do I get the pie in the face?" Faith mocks.

Buffy looks like someone punched her. " Joke? You think this is some kinda joke?" Buffy says, her voice hurt.

"Whatta expect, B? You come on to me outta the blue. I mean, you never even seemed like you noticed me before…and whoosh. All a sudden, you're swabbing my tonsils behind the Bronze? Whatta ya expect me to think, B? I'm still waitin' for the guy with the camera to step out and tell me I'm on TV" Faith says, feeling defensive. " I mean like, when were we ever friends, huh? Shoot, I came to dinner at your house, once. And then you looked like you wanted to kick my ass out. How are we buds? Huh? We EVER hang out. Nope, don't think so. So, now, I'm gonna just think you all of a sudden did a 180? That you wanna be with me? C'mon B, what kinda dork you think I am?"

Buffy stares at her, eyes wide. She opens and closes her mouth, like she's trying to say something, and it's sticking in her throat. Finally, she just lets it rip.

"Damn, Faith, what IS your problem?" Buffy hisses. " What the hell have I done to get that? You think this is all easy for me? I don't know what's goin' on here. I'm… confused. I guess. I dunno. I thought…all of a sudden? This isn't " all of a sudden". Not for me, anyway. God. First time I met you, I felt something. I didn't know what, but I know it confused and scared me. Damn. So yeah, I wasn't all sweet and nice. Sorry, I'm fucking human, When I get scared, I get defensive. But I know I felt something. Didn't you feel anything when we met? Or was it just me? And then the picnic. What about that? Was that a big joke, too, Faith? I really… really thought we connected on some level. Boy, guess I got that so wrong. Again, I guess I was a fool, huh? Didn't that mean anything to you…at all?????" Buffy is raging now. What the hell is with her? Why is she doing this ?

Faith stands there, mouth open. She hadn't a clue. Not a single clue. This was totally new territory for her, and she was running lost and scared.

"B…I…" then her voice lowers, almost to a whisper " B…that was the best time I ever remember having. I…no one ever…did something like that for me, without wanting something back. But you just…did it, like it was normal. I…don't get it. I don't understand. Why?" Faith can't believe that someone would just do something nice for her. Not without expecting something.

Buffy's totally at odds with herself. One the one hand, she wants to bitch slap Faith into tomorrow. She's totally pissed that Faith thinks she wants something from her, or is trying to hurt her. On the other hand, she's looking at Faith, and seeing she genuinely isn't getting it. That somehow the idea that Buffy could want…need?…her is foreign to her understanding of the world. Buffy is genuinely moved by this. That this girl, younger than she is, has been so hurt so much, that she can't get past the barriers of suspicion she's built up. She doesn't understand love, because she's never had love. It breaks her heart. Unexpectedly, she starts to cry…quietly, just tears, but her heart is so aching for someone who can't possibly be happy. Not really. Not in her soul.

Faith sees Buffy's tears, and she's more confused. She didn't mean to make her cry… and still doesn't' understand why it's important to her whether Buffy cries, or doesn't cry. But it's.

"B…God, I'm sorry. I didn't want to make you cry" Faith says…and feels her eyes itching with tears. GOD. I don't cry! Dammit, that's for …babies. But she feels the tears leak out of her eyes.

"No…Faith, I'm sorry. I didn't understand." Buffy says, and pulls Faith into a hug.

Faith is more confused. Totally confused. What is going on?

Buffy pulls back a little, and takes Faith's face in her hands.

"Faith, I don't know what's going on here. I'm scared, too." Buffy starts. " I'm having these feelings for you, these feelings I don't understand. Because … I…there for another girl...woman…and…that's not…what I was told…was right. It's not something I've experienced before. Before I met you. And the kicker is, I love Angel… or think I do…or did. God, I'm so confused".

Angel! Faith had heard about Angel. From the Scoobies. About how he went psycho on them, how he killed Jenny Calendar, how he tortured Giles. How he'd been one of them, until he lost his soul. Soul? That totally doesn't make sense…and now, B says she loves him?

"B, I don't understand. You love a vampire? How's that possible? They're evil. They kill people. We slay them. Not bed them" Faith says.

Buffy tells her the story. The whole story. Even the parts the Scoobies don't know about. Slowly, the whole picture emerges for Faith, and she is …stunned. She sees Buffy in a new light. This girl, this cheerleader cum Prom queen has been to hell and back, and still just acts like it's nothing. Like it's normal. Faith shakes her head. She'll never get it.

"That must have been awful, B. Having to kill him, knowing he was…good again" Faith says, still not grasping the 'good vampire' concept.

"There was no other way, Faith. He'd activated the demon, the only way to stop it was to stab him, send him to hell" Buffy says, her voice quiet, her face bleak.

"And then he came back? After 4 months?" Faith asks, not believing her ears. This story just gets weirder.

"But time is different there…he'd endured hell for 100 years. With a soul. When he came back, he was like a savage. I had to lock him up for awhile 'til he recovered"

And weirder

"But I still don't understand how you loved him, B. How did that happen?" Faith asks.

"I didn't know he was a vampire right away. And I was already falling for him when I learned. At first, I was totally weirded. But I fell in love with who he was, not what he was. And it just happened from there" Buffy says, still caught in her reflections

And weirder.

"We don't get a choice in who we love, Faith" Buffy says, reaching out, touching her face. " I didn't have a choice there. It happened. But now, I'm finding myself having those same feelings for you. This shouldn't be happening, but it's happening. I love him, Faith. But, I don't think I can love him like before. I was innocent Faith. I was a virgin before him. And he took that innocence from me, Faith. I know that … love isn't always enough. I know now that what we had, though beautiful, is doomed. It can't ever be. If I get close with him again, he goes evil again, and who knows who'll die next time. So, that can't be."

Faith has a thought. She doesn't like the thought, but it might be the truth. Damn.

"B… did ya ever think that maybe what you're feelin' here aint…love? Maybe you're looking for something to hold onto, since you lost Angel? Maybe I'm like…rebound girl?" Faith winces internally, but it might be what's going on here. Makes more sense than anything else.

Buffy looks at her sadly. " I almost wish that were true, Faith" Buffy says, resigned. "But it doesn't explain it. I got this feeling right from the start… when I met you, before Angel returned. And I can't get you out of my head. I think about you all the time. I daydream about you. I …when we're patrolling, I worry about you. That you'll get hurt, or worse. I go nuts when I see a vamp get a punch in on you. I wanna kill it right then and there, stomp it into the ground. It's totally stupid, but when you dance with other people, guys or girls, I get so jealous I wanna kill them. When we were dancing tonight, I got so hot, I wanted you so badly, it took ever bit of my control not to just throw you on the floor in the Bronze, and do you there. God, I'm … so fucking embarrassed. Even thinking that way. When we were outside the Bronze, I keep seeing you … like you were glowing. I could barely keep from ripping your clothes off I wanted you so badly. What is this, Faith? Lust? Love? I dunno, I just don't know".

Faith is looking at her, open mouthed. She's beyond stunned. She's so mixed up, she can't think straight.

And suddenly Buffy is upon her, kissing her madly. Her lips aren't soft, they're demanding. And Faith is responding in kind. She doesn't give a rat's ass. The need in her is too strong. Too powerful.

She can barely keep her control. "Not here, god Buffy, not here" Faith says, pushing her away. Buffy looks hurt.

"No, God, Buffy, I want you so bad I'm dying. But not in some fucking alley".

The somehow stumble walk the rest of the way to Faith's motel. But every so often they just stop and kiss; finally Buffy just jumps up into Faith's arms, wrapping her legs around Faith's waist. Faith carries her the rest of the way like that, trying to avoid running into things while in a passionate lip lock with her.

They get to Faith's room, and Faith is trying to find her key

But it's near impossible, because Buffy keeps running her hands all over her, and kissing her neck and whatever else she can reach. Faith finally gets it, but her hand is shaking so badly, it takes multiple attempts to get the door open. They walk through…if you can call it walking, and it slams shut.

Inside, all civility goes out the window. They literally tear at each other's clothing, wanted to be naked yesterday. Their clothing lies in a heap, nearly rags, and they stop and stare. They are like animals, sizing each other up. What follows is not gentle, not tender. It's raw, passionate, and nearly violent. The slayer in each girl kicks in, and they are circling, virtually attacking each other. They meet in a passionate, fierce embrace, their lips mashing against each other, their nails scratching each other, They fall onto the bed, and Faith is on top. She literally ravages Buffy, biting, kissing, licking, and scratching her. Buffy moans in an elemental pleasure, and screams at her to be rougher. Buffy's own nails leave marks on Faiths back. Faith is leaving teeth marks on Buffy, the savage need in her taking over. Buffy wraps her legs around Faith, and they are grinding against each other, trying to put out the fires burning like infernos inside them. Their moans become loud, deep and low… their pelvis' bang against each other, trying to find release. Their sexes, already damp, begin to flood as the fires within them become white hot, and their hips buck and grind. On and on it goes, their bodies covered with sweat, their hair damp, their minds no longer in control. They are animals, savagely releasing pent up sexual desire… until almost together they explode, their screams near deafening. Even after they cum, their bodies continue to grind, as if they can't stop. Slowly the motions cease, and the collapse together in a heap, their breathing ragged and torn, their bodies temporarily satisfied.

They look at each other in disbelief. Neither can understand what just happened. But they don't care, either. They pull each other into an embrace, and their mouths meet in a passionate, but loving kiss. The savage need has been satisfied, but a deeper need takes them. A need to be close, intimate.

"God, B, what the fuck just happened?" Faith breathes, her body near exhausted…yet stimulated. She's never felt so alive.

"Dunno, Faith. Don't care. All I know is that I've never felt so deeply satisfied. Like our souls are together. I guess that was our slayers making lust" Buffy starts to giggle. " Man, are they hot Biotches"

Faith chuckles. " Well, I know you're one hot biotch. Damn girl, I think you left welts on my back"

"Yeah? How'm I gonna explain these bite marks, Faith? Some evil Bitey Demon?" Buffy is giggling harder.

"Bitey demon my ass." Faith says.

"Hmmm…kissey demon then, with really bad overbite?" Buffy asks, giggling.

"I'll kissey demon you" Faith says, and begins to kiss Buffy on her neck. Buffy arches her neck, and sighs.

By the time Faith reaches her breasts, Buffy has forgotten they just had sex, and her body is starting to respond all over again. By the time Faith starts biting her nipples, Buffy hands reach over and begin to play with Faith's breasts, eliciting little whimpers from Faith. By the time Faith has kissed her way down to Buffy's rubbed raw and swollen sex, Buffy has forgotten her name. Buffy who? When Faith's tongue invades her, Buffy just forgets everything. Her hips begin to squirm, and she is moaning loudly. Faith gently nibbles on her nether lips, and Buffy is in heaven…or close, so close. When Faith's lips surround her bud, she's above heaven, and her mind is somewhere in the next galaxy. Buffy's hips are no longer squirming, but thrusting off the bed, trying to push closer to Faith's mouth. But the push comes when faiths puts some fingers inside her. Buffy just leaps over the edge, and falls into her orgasm, letting loose with a loud scream. Faith moves back up, covering Buffy's mouth with hers (Damn, the girl is gonna have the cops here, thinkin' I'm killin her…heh). And the kiss is deep, passionate and full of Buffy goodness. Slowly she comes back down, but her mind is still fuzzy, and she still not quite sure what her name is?

Faith relaxes, thinking she's safe, having knocked out the other slayer. But never count our little blonde out. Faith suddenly finds Buffy's tongue all over her, followed by her kisses and teeth.

"God, what is she doing to me? Oh…man…yeah…that is…oh god yes that right there….Please…more of that …yeah….mmmmm…..oh, oh…OH…."

Buffy is down to Faiths hips, and is lightly washing over her sex with her tongue. Slowly, she teases Faiths swollen lips, and pulls on them, eliciting a high little moan from Faith. She sticks her tongue in Faith, and Faith just goes nuts, pushing Buffy's head closer. Buffy slides her tongue up and down Faith's slit, not caring that Faith is squirming like mad. Then she gently squeezes Faith's bud between thumb and finger, and the squirms become bucks, and the moans become deep groans. Faith feels her mind melting, as Buffy pushes her over the edge. She no longer thinks, only feels, and the feelings are intense and near shattering.

A very exhausted Faith finds Buffy snuggling up to her, when she returns to this planet. Buffy has her head on Faith's chest, her hand lightly resting on her tummy. The two women drowse, tired but happy.

Faith looks down, and notices Buffy has drifted off. Her breathing is regular, and she hears tiny snorts and snores. She smiles, thinking it's sweet and adorable.

Before she drifts off herself, Faith realizes she finally gets it. She had mocked this 'lovey-dovey' stuff back at the Bronze. She had made fun of the people who seemed so stuck on each other. She'd thought Valentine's Day was a joke, a made up holiday to make money off of the suckers.

But, she hadn't known love. Hadn't felt such feelings. 'til now.

She knew probably this wouldn't , couldn't last. That in the morning, things might get awkward, even bad. She didn't care.

Right now, at this moment, she knew something she hadn't known before. Happiness. True happiness. And she had to admit that could be addicting. And she so wanted to get addicted.

She sighed, her eyelids growing heavy. She started to drift off, sleep claiming her.

Just before she slept, she grasped a little fact.

That this hadn't been just another night, after all.
