Chapter 8

"Who the hell does she think she is?" Willow asked Buffy as soon as they were in her Jeep. "Just walks right in and assumes because I'm her girlfriend that I'm…her girlfriend."

"She's a Slayer. She's got the attitude," Buffy offered.

"You're a Slayer. You don't have that attitude."

Buffy shrugged. "Maybe my Giles is a better watcher than hers?"

Willow didn't reply but Buffy could see that the wheels were turning. Her friend had been through so much and her heart truly did go out to her. If faced with the same choices Buffy could honestly say she didn't know what she would do.

She knew Willow cared for Kennedy—very much. But Tara was a part of Willow. And now she was back—or at least an incredible reproduction of her. She knew the road ahead wouldn't be easy by any means.

"Look Will," Buffy began. "You don't need to make any drastic choices right now. Take your time and figure out how you feel. Yeah she looks like Tara but like you said it's a whole new attitude. You might find out you don't have much in common with her. And as for Kennedy…she's young. She's quick tempered, acts and speaks without thinking-."

"Boy you're singing the praises today," Willow remarked sarcastically.

"But she's loyal to you and she worships the ground you walk on. And not that I'm a great judge of lesbians…she's a hottie."

Dawn and Willow both began to giggle in the Jeep.

"Point is someone's gonna get hurt Will. Maybe even you too. Just…do what you think is right and be honest with both of them."

"I will…eventually." Willow smiled.
